damn blake that last page was a huge jump in skills. Soon youll be handlin this like you do your skate. Then were all in trouble. Later hater
I really enjoyed the b/w digital character sketches as well as the portraits. Keep up the work on those, you're really coming along extremely well. You might want to do some studies of facial structure, not just features, it'll help you to recreate the shading on those studies if you really know the underlying structure of the face well. Keep up the excellent work, and thanks for the comment on my sb.

Really like the red enviro. I still think the horse's head is too small - use some ref for it. Otherwise looking good, keep up the good work.
using a ref pic
just liked the idea of the girl i'll post the ref pic with the next post
really dig the guy with sword and shield! stuff is looking good, can't wait to see you finish that portrait!
These back & white sketches in post #32 are particularly nice. They all have clear attitude/personality in each pose. Same with the white on black marker. Quite dynamic. Would love to see these developed furthur.

cool works man. keep em comin!
Don't ever finish a pic! Lol I'm enjoying the company. Turn down the saturation on her face a little. Samurai is sweet man, you using reference or do you just naturally draw such cool armor?
You lost your side! For that pose you should simplify the whole torso into a block so you have a defined side all the way down to the belt (also your waist in the picture doesnt go in as much as in your drawing). I like the use of the green in the speedie, although it might look better a little less saturated (i know you love oversaturating things though) Keep rocking.
quickie stetch
idea is body weight pulls on chains angled so heavy steel mask pulls on head & neck gonna add blood and skin discoloration veins yada yada whatta
NIce colors bro, you should finish some more stuff, but you are looking pretty slick keep on the horse and rider, just finish it up![]()
tried use'n all yall advise i think its work'njust gotta shape the horse a lil betta then try add some detail
just btry'n to block everything in
im ona try and fix the saturations in the other pix but in this one i think i finally got the dude to sit on the damn horse ye hahorses armor sucks still under constrution
The horse is coming along nicely (although the front legs look shoop'd) and the guy in armor looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.
Hmm. A sword... I wonder who thought of that....
I agree with the comments about the horse. Here's a ref pic that i think would help you more than me talking a lot. With the angle of your rider i think the horse should look more like this.
thanx 4 the cc

good tude and work ethic. if i were you i would stay away from digi for a couple of weeks. months and just focus on the visual elements with pencil/ink/marker whatever. often digital distracts from just getting down and working with pen on composition, linework, shapes, negative space, edges, etc etc. maybe not for you, but that's what i would do. keep at it man.

Wow. Haven't been here in awhile, and theres some tight things goin on in here man! Love that horse pic. You'll finish that one, you've already put a lot of time into it, and its looking real good.
Digis are improving steadily. That horse is definitely your best so far, looking good. Those envo. thumbnails are looking interesting too. Keep at it mate!
TUNAFISH SAMMICHES?!
Definately some nice stuff in this sketchbook. I like the horseman as well, but personally feel it is overworked. Seeing as the concept is more for the rider, I'd like to see a very plain blank horse. Anyway - I think you should move on to another horse pic or another concept of the rider off the horse.
One cirt for your photo refs - Watch the placement of your eyes. They tend to drift a little bit. Pay very close attention to the relationship between the eyes nose and lips, and less to the initial head shape.
I can't wait to see more stuff, keep it up
