My first digital work, the sea

Done in Painter X with Artist's Oils. Any critiques are greatly appreciated.

i really like the calm atmosphere, the only thing that bothers me a bit is the border between rocks and water in the underpart of your painting

oh, and by the way: great colors!

That's awesome, but I would like if there was a more defined horizon line. I think it's because the sky is reflected too much in the water. It would still have some blue/white/clear tones in it, even with that sky.
    "Yakko...?"
    "Yes, Ms. Flameel?"
    "Multiply 47 times 83."
"Multiplication, it's math education! Isn't this swell? Oh, let's give multiplication a standing ovation...
so buy a calculator, study this stuff later!"

-Animaniacs (only a few good quotes from that song. Search "The Multiplication Song - Animaniacs" on YouTube
for this video and any other Animaniacs classic!)

It seems a bit scratchy, and if the main focus points were off-center, it would be a better composition. Centering things tends to remove interest from a picture, rather than adding to it.

Also, colors typically aren't that bright. I'm pretty sure I know the reference that you painted this from - that picture, like many pictures of sunsets and sunrises - have been oversaturated for effect. If you tone down the colors a bit, I think it will help to make everything look more realistic.
