    Unhappy I despair.

    a doodle?????

I doodled last night and came up with a face that looked like it had hit every branch of the ugly tree on the way down.

This is a great piece of work. The layout's great, the expression is vivid and the movements pretty much spot on. For a doodle it's way cool.

    S

He calls it a doodle! Jeeeze ...

Paparazzi this is cool. My only concern is his left arm. It doesnt quite have that tension it so deserves; the hand is fairly small, and the distance between wrist to elbow is a lil looong.

Over all, like the expression, line work, color and movement!

not bad for a nights work!
quick point - couldve been a bit more dynamic where it really matters.
Our eyes follow his arms and the payoff - the hands and gun - aren't that interesting - needs alot more exxageration.
And this is just my preference - but I would get rid of the mountains and sky (or simplify it) altogether so his solhouette stands out against a stark BG... but again - personal taste (just dont like the colors and the look of the mountains and sky thats all)

love the reds and green on him though
    nice "doodle"!

Very good!!It has movement,violence,feeling....maybe the colors in the background are not the correct ones,in my opinion.

    Congratulations for your "doodle"!

Revolvers do not eject spent cartridges as they are fired. They must be manually ejected when the cylinder is opened.

I like it a lot. The line work has a really nice feel to it and so does the coloring. The only comment I could make is that you have a revolver pistol ejecting empty bullet shells which is something a revolver doesn't do.

Looks like some else caught the revolver thing so i guess I'm being redundant.

    The work looks great!

no its tintin- no Rin in front of it
another quick not that can help alot is the bullet trail grazing his shoulder is almost in the middle, straight and parallel with the fence so just angling that a bit can add more dynamism to the piece

Really love the overall design and coloring of this piece, only thing I would fix is the already received critiques about the arms length and structure, along with the revolver rounds self ejecting, otherwise AWESOME.

Checked out the stuff on your website man, awesome work. Must ask though, do you use the Pen tool for the darker outline or do you just trace the initial sketch with a brush?

Great pic, has alot of action and energy.
When I look at it, I see it like a single movie frame... so I think that it would have looked even better with 'widescreen' type sizing.

Ellingsworth Thank you for looking at my work buddy...I'm glad you are digging it. In terms of the inking...everything is done traditionally....I trace the pencil sketch with either a very thin brush pen , using Higgins ink, or use a micron for the more detailed stuff....The only thing I do digitally is actually the flat coloring!

SEVANS Yo are right..it probably would have looked better...I just wasn't giving the piece enough thought at that moment..thank you for the crit buddy..and thanks for checking in!!
