for class we're supposed to design some vehicles, so i'm choosing to do a "caravan" version of that tent building. nothing against giant attack mechs, but i wanted to do something that would fit into the orientalist aesthetic. i'm thinking it would be fun to do futuristic Gerome paintings.

wow I think youve definitely achieved this. No crits from me, but the oriental aesthetic really has come through. I love the simplicity of post 2341 - nothing to add from me I´m afraid but keep on doing what youre doing - definitely going to be scouring this sketchbook for a few days now.

God, all your lines are so beautiful. I'm very jealous of the control you have. Wow!

Your digital paintings are equally as gorgeous. Nice colours.

It was a busy friday night and saturday afternoon, and I'm f'ing tired now-- happy, but tired. Simon Lee convinced me to go from the sitting bird design to a standing one. Luckily there was a home depot a block away and I showed up for class early. Anyway, I'm finally trying something I always wanted to do.

Hey Chris I really like the bird in the standing position. It's got some great shapes going on in it. I am just in the process of doing a long legged bird in paper mâché which has been fun. Looking forward to seeing more of this.

i know there's more detail to be added, but at least it's fleshed out now. got rid of the bird rider because it was killing the mood. added the skyscraper-tents in the background.

Your past work has been super imaginative, really great progress on that front. The concept with the transportable tent caravan is just really cool.

WOW - You sir are inspiring me to push myself further, I started on your first page and was instantly awed by your penmanship, then noted it was from 2006!!!

Thanks a bunch man, going to keep updating my sketchbook and hope my penwork improves. I work almost always these days with pens but your style is masterclass. Not only that your concepts and sculps are on a leveled field too!

Hope to see your art on the front page to help my art-heart!

icecold--Thanks! I'm kind of pushing myself a bit more on the creative front. i think part of my "problem" was i spent too much time overdoing the traditional stuff. not that you can ever really overdo it, but just that i should've switched gears into doing more creative work at some point. it helps that i've kind of created a world or a story for this project. once there's a story and some mood or something, i can just take it and run with it. without a story, i sometimes struggle a lot more. anyway, thanks for sticking around and dropping by. I will keep pushing forward with this stuff.

spitboi7--Thanks! Very nice for you to say that. I will try to keep it up.

    Cameli--Thanks!
