Hey bud, you definitely need some sky in there (you need a sun somewhere even if it's not in the painting)...also try to darken the grass toward the horizon (it's all the same color) and maybe add some tree's or rocks out there as well. As it is now, it's a good start but needs to have some life breathed into it.

My Sketchbook
I'd suggest using bigger brushes, blocking in the main planes of your image first. Some distance fog dulling the colors as we move back into the picture might also help show depth. Some other objects like trees can also be good as size reference.
