Awesome, I'm diggin the inks and pens the most. Try to infuse some more depth in the pencil sketches. Good work.

The pose is a little off. The leg on the floor should be bent more or moved back. Currently, she would be on the verge of falling. I like the character concepts, but lets see some anatomy! I used to make character concepts to skip doing worthwhile anatomy exercises, so maybe that's what you're doing. Just a guess.

Anyways, nice stuff, and lets see some color, man. Be a bit more daring with your character. It's not all too original.

hey. good to see you have your own thread.

try focusing on drawing from life before you jump into simplified forms, it will give your 2d drawings a more 3d effect.

    Keep drawing

Cool update. My suggestion to you is, and this will be very helpful with the work your in now, to do some quick gesture drawing on newsprint. It will help drastically to bring life to your characters. Keep up the good work man.

hey man thanx for replying to my sketchbook (i wish i had more sketches!) So i thought i'd take a peak at yours. MAN! I like the style- very cool! I cnat think of any other artist on here that has that style. It reminds me a bit of the sketches Tim Burton does, which is awsome. When you post more can you make them bigger, i like your last post, but i cuddent see the details that well. Also your characters would look great animated! Thanx again, i'll be sure to check in on tis thread every week:chug:

On the last one, where she is lying down, you want to tilt the hips at the opposite angle of her shoulders. This would also bring her torso a little closer to the ground.

These are neat, I like that you have your characters that you redraw and keep around. whenever I make a character I almost always draw it once or twice and never again, it kinda sucks..

A thing to think about when drawing the characters is how their stance looks. Try really hard to focus on making the stances look natural and balanced. A good and generic rule of thumb is the character is balanced if his head is directly above the middle of his feet. Of course there are a lot of esceptions but its a good thing to keep in mind, at least for me... keep at it man, lets keep this thread rolling...

    very cool style...

maybe it's just me, but i really dont think signing every sketchbook page is necessary...

your characters have comic book potential!! you should try doing a short strip. it's an awesome exercise for pretty much every aspect of design.

You seem to plan before doing a more final sketch (i should do this more)

You've definitely got a style. You might want to try incorporating some dynamic poses with that guy. You could do a lot with it.
