a skull anyone? Trying to learn basic object lightening..?
Fun as hell to paint, but hard to know what would be right or wrong. Crits are very welcome, as of now I don't know either.

Nice design on the robot/space-suit.
Thank you Aprat
Started working on this one now, but I'm not really sure about the pose. It was thought to be a ease leaning forward on his left leg. Well can't work more on it now but I'll update later.
Updated. Think I got the pose slightly better.

Fast color test..

You have a good idea of lighting in your b&w pieces, I think this guy looks pretty good. I find it's because he sits in the environment (in this case the white bg) quite well via shadows and glancing reflections.Originally Posted by Eradus
Although there's not much to tell from, the colors on the latest piece looks much improved over previous color work.
Maybe study refs for the light & reflection stuff, and don't forget to practice perspective and anatomy. They can really let down a piece if not solid (I have this problem).
Thank you Master Meatsworthy! I am honoured to see you at my sketchboard.
I just did some facial studies. It takes to much time to get it right, guess I'll keep practicing!

In facial studies, while the skulls look okay, the faces looks sorta flat ... drawing the head tilted upward or downward in frontal view is difficult to do in the beginning ... its best to start with a side view or a 3 quarter view to get used to the bone and muscle structures first.
Thank you for the tip bkdev, I'll try that.
Felt like doing some fixes.

I think you have a good sense for design. Keep working on that anatomy and keep experimenting.
Rock on!

Started out as a 3d doodle, and then I ended up using it as subject for some rendering tecs.
