Well, since I haven't updated forever,and my first sb kinda felt like a failure to me, I have started a brand spankin new one. This is my rebirth here at CA. I want be be more dedicated this time around. So without further adu, my sketches.

This is a concept for a scholarship I'm doing. I call it The Beast Within. Yeah, I know it has that Alien vibe, but what the hell.


This is just a tiny update. I shall have more here by TOMORROW. I promise this time. As you guys know, any comments or crits are more than welcome. I love hearing from you guys cause it gives me a reason to go on and improve. Later.

As I promised, here is the first part of my portfolio stuff. I will have pics of some bigger paintings a little later.

This is a boimechanical being I cooked up.


Here I was getting a little inspiration from the flying beasts in Return of the King.


To wind things down a little, here are some simpler pics. This first one was a watercolor down outside at our county park, 15 min.


Last is an old still-life done in charcoal.

man, that`s a nice style you`ve got for your own, i`m diggin it. And those concepts are also great. I would suggest that you upload your images a little bigger so we can see the details a little better.

Thaks for the kind remarks Phatyfool and Nizza. I will be uploading some paintings of these later and in a bigger size. Just for kicks, here is a sketch that I am currently doing a digital of. I had to take the pic with a camera cause the paper was too damn big to scan. Enjoy.

I happen to be watching Aliens right now, so I thought it'd only be right to reply to your sketchbook.

I like your free and uninhibited drawings. You seem to take your ideas from start to finish, I could take a lesson or so from you.

I like the mech the most. I do have one crit or comment... and that is that some of your rendering makes the drawings look as though they were brought into photoshop and were applied with inverted values. I think that's because you render some strong light spots in creases or places that would otherwise be darker.

Keep drawing and updating your sketchbook, don't let this one be a "failure" so long as you update we will come. See ya.

nice, or I think this latest ones look nice !
I think you wanted ti to look like a monster , or a huge creature
stamping over all those poor people right ?
Right now it just feels like if you have several charcters in different scales...
wich doesnt make the right effect..
if you lower the eye level... so you see the creature from beneath, that would
be alot more beliveable, or drawing something that explains that your seing the monster from a roof or something..

revender: Well, the thing is that i've taken these with a digital camera cause they were too big to fit on a scanner. If you see them in person the values look much more correct. Good point nonetheless and thanks for stopping by.

dile: I appreciate your comment man. See i'm not quite sure how big I actually want the beast to be. I am planning on reworking the humans so the scale looks a bit more realistic. I don't really see myself changing the whole perspective, but I will have some flexibility when I do a digital painting. It seems at your young age you have a good understanding of art. Thanks man.

Hey guys, no new stuff for now but I did go to our Hawkeye 10 art show yesterday.This is where 10 high schools bring about 20 of their best artists and have them exhibit some of their work. I displayed two that are in my sketchbook here. Out of five pieces on display I got 4 ribbons. Also I recieved the award for All-Conference Artist. Not a huge update, but I'm proud about winning right now. Later people

Wow, it's been over a month since I've posted anything here.To atone for that, here is some new stuff accompanied by different versions of some older stuff. All of these works were transfered to my computer from a digital camera, so some quality was lost. Enjoy. C&C is very welcome and appreciated.
