Sr. Concept Artist for SCEA Bend,Oregon
Position Description
We are looking for a seasoned concept artist who will be the art director’s collaborator and an important driving force in the studio art department, helping define and conceptualize our studio’s vision for multiple projects on multiple platforms, including next gen PS3. This is a central, in-house creative position which will include supervising the work of external contract concept artists. The right person will be a studio leader and will help drive the vision of our future titles through their creative and conceptual talents.
Qualifications
Potential candidates must demonstrate experience producing concept art for multiple themes and worlds.
Must have
Experience as a concept artist on AAA film/game
Strong portfolio demonstrating ideation as well as final renders of character and environment art
Experience with rapid-iteration of drawings and paintings as experiments in form and lighting
Skills
Strong understanding of light and color theory
Quick gesture sketching and story-boarding skills
Architectural and Industrial Design knowledge
Strong sense of human anatomy
Strong sense of Style and Mood
Ability to convey texture, color and lighting
Attention to aesthetic detail
Able to communicate the "story" behind a character/environment piece
Proactive, industrious, responsible, professional
