This isn't quite done, but I figured I'd post what I got, in case I don't get time to work on it again:

The Sundtabarry of planet Barlowenia using pings to hunt at night. It hunts along the shores of the bogs and lakes that it can be found in. It leaps at its prey, pushing it to the ground with its massive front 'paws'. Then stabs its prey with its head. Then it absorbs the meat at blood through small holes and pores on its head, and a gill like structure under its neck. Then it returns to the water during the day, floating about digesting its food. Two theories on the red head, one is that it has evolved this way due to jamming it into its prey. Another is that it's meant to blend in with the red algae found on most bogs and lakes.

Uh, it's got a tad darker than it should've been, me thinks.

    Stingrats are completely blind.
As they've got no eyes, they rely on their excellent sense of hearing to hunt down prey - birds and small mammals.
When a target has been located, the Stingrat sprints towards it at high speed, piercing the unsuspecting victim with the two long horns situated on the frontside of its head.

    Nocturnal Predator

Awsome concept my friends... indeed this one is going to be pretty intense, I am predicting a record number of entries.

What is the record of entries Fozzy? Just curious if that information is kept at all.

The forest dwelling 'night angler' feeds off the nocturnal animals attracted by its bioluminescent lure at the end of its tail. Can be found in trees, dangling it's tail below itself waiting for a meal. The multiple eyes give all round as well as full spectrum vision. The lure can fully regrow in a week, because there's always something that's just too quick.

will update when not so tired.

    The Svenacidus.
It lives in the forests of the planet G'rogh. When night comes, it awakes in its nest and goes hunting. It seduces sleeping creatures using a strong pheromone wich is produced in the chemical sack. When the prey is in position, the Svenacidus grabs it by using tentacles with spikes. It then "melts" the creature with a strong acid substance produced in the chemical sack for easy eating and digestion. The Svenacidus has special see through eyelids. It can see in the dark and detect body heat. The Svenacidus is suspected of telepathy.

    Looking forward to other entries.

    North Eastern Cliff Glider

This creature lives in the mountains of the North Eastern United States. Often mistaken for coyotes, the cliff glider hunts during the night feeding mostly on small animals. For those that live near the mountains, they can occasionally be seen gliding through the air and landing on their prey, catching them by surprise. Once it lands, it surrounds the animal by blocking all directions, except the front, with the weblike skin that stretches from the front leg to the back. Seeing an opening, the prey then tries to escape only to be stopped by the glider's powerful snake-like jaw.

After the kill is made the glider then returns to its nesting area usually high up in the mountains. The glider may make several glides down the mountain in a night depending on how many mouths it needs to feed. Usually they are hard to spot since these glides only last a minute or less. They dont make any vocal noises and can find their prey in the darkest of nights. Their large sensitive ears can hear the slightest sounds and they use their snake-like tongues to smell the air. Some have been known to grow up to 4ft tall.

    Smudler

Take 2 (I'm learning to render, so bare with me)

Deep in the swamplands of the Mississippi bayou lives a creature known as the Smudler. This creature is a feared nocturnal predator by all the native species, humans included. With a poisonous pinch, razor sharp teeth enhanced sense of smell, and a tail light used as bait, the Smudler can kill a species 100 times its size. The Smudler is best known for having the sweetest tasting meat and if you're every in Mississippi stop at Mama Voodoo's restaurant and have the Smudler pie... delicious.

This is the Sinkerfish. During the day, this fish is mostly inactive, lurking at the bodem of a pool waiting for the night to fall. As the night sets in, large flocks of dumbats swoop in and hunt over these pools in the jungle. they mainly prey on reptiles and a lizard or snake who has fallen in the pool is an easy meal. Or so they think... The Sinkerfish has learned to imitate the struggling motion of a creature who fell in the water. It uses it's finger-like appendage on top of it's nose to lure and attract dumbats. If the dumbat tries to grab the appendage, the sinkerfish will grab his meal from the air and quickly drowns what's left of it's prey.

Wasp Nocternal Predator: Mantaman Moth Eater

The Mantaman Moth Eater is found near wetlands in deciduous and conifer forests of northern Europe and the Americas. Useful in demolishing common garden and household pests such as aphids, mosquitoes and almost all species of moth, these strangely disturbing creatures are often under appreciated. Adult Manatmen are almost twelve feet in length, greenish brown in color, with large pale eyes. Their bodies are soft, yet not delicate, with a heavier epidermis on their under-belly for grasping tree trunks and branches. Also of note are the bi-lateral abdominal spikes which they use to gain extra footing on bark.

Mantamen are attracted to where-ever their prey is to be found. Often attracted to light sources like their choice foods, moths, Mantamen have been known to terrify rural areas. However the fear is unfounded. They are completely harmless, and can actually be kepted near-by with a nightly dish of dandelion tea. While feral, they are about as intelligent as a cat, though they do not like to be touched and hate tuna.

    The Arbbaeto
This shy creature goes to hunt small lizards or mammals up to the size of sheep-dogs, but as its eyes are very vulnerable to intense lightning,it will only hunt at night. During daytime it tries to look like a dead tree by perching on a neutral spot, whilst it closes its eyes and puts his hands to his head. The small tail helps to keep the balance. In this stage it will not move and cannot be awakened by anything. Its natural habitat are dense forests, but due to being mistaken for a real tree it has been brought to many cities already. So should your dog or cat been missing longer than normally you may know what has happened.
