Since I've posted some of the pages here previously, I just wanted to let all you wonderful people, who have taken the time to post your amazing comments, that Josh and I won the 5th annual Tokyopop Rising Stars of Manga competition. Look for the anthology in your local bookstore in August!

no wonder you won that is fuckin' sweet, I love the comic side of it, and the fight scene is very samurai jack ( a good thing in my opinion). 8)

Story was tight. Definite page turner. Clear panels. Distinct style. A few moments could popped like where she asked him for a kiss. I did love that bird's eye view after that...but those two panels were the only ones that bothered me.

otherwise...very clean. Dap for both you and the writer.

Congrats man! But in my opinion, i prefered the comics better when there wasnt any dialog, like the one u originaly posted. Nevertheless, i think its a great piece

man i loved the initial set of pages you showed before, but this just steps it up

Very nice, I like it a lot, but also have some constructive tips:
Page09,panel1: Too complicated. Maybe you can remove running boy in first plane.
Page10,panel2: You can do it more dynamic.
Page11/12: It seems to missing some part of the story
page14,panel5: It not quite recognisible that sword is near to see saw
Page16: panels 1,2: This is lot confusing to me.
panel 6: could go without border
Page 19: too much same tings. I like It a lot in previus pages, but here is too much.
