    Comic-Concept:

I'm new in drawing comics or stripes, so it was a new experience for me to play with backgrounds and thinking about how I create speech-bubbles etc.

I get my inspiration of the Pixipet-Comics.

More of this stuff will come. I'm thinking about drawing some parts of my "George the Crab"-stories like this.

I like the animated nature of your work, its very pleasing in a sea of anatomy and shade values. On some of the work earlier on in this page i can see some rough lines, i don't know if this is on purpose or just before you smooth everything over. I always stress line quality, its one of those things I notice. It's something i myself am always working on. Keep this I am looking forward to seeing more work.

Do you mean things like "Lineart"? If yes - I am working on that, because I hate those scribbled, sketchy lines, especially in my digital works.

I get the review, that my pieces, especially the characters, don't show emotions. But I think, that this topic is a very important thing ( in animation), so I made quick sketches with my main characters:

Today I made some new experiences with brushes.

I know that I need to practise, but I like this piece somehow.

hmm i like your colors and it's a cute style. i know something someone said about cartoony styles is that the more life drawing you do the better your ability to draw cartoons will be. life drawing is just awesome in general but id like to see more life studies from you, just dont get study sickness.

Hmh, i totally don't know what you try to say? I'm fine with my figures, especially the animals.

    But thanks for your comment.

I love drawing pirates - and cowboys- havn't done that in a while. Offically putting it on the to-do list!

It's great that you're trying to explore emotions more. Expressions are my favorite . Don't be afraid to really push your charcters features. Move those eyebrows around. Also- get the shoulders involved. In animation, shoulders are a huge resource for getting emotions .

Another vote for life drawing. I can say from experience that it has improved my cartooning tremendously. You can never know enough about the figure - or do enough life drawing. If you feel you know what your doing - you're not pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.
Practice drawing your character doing different things. climbing a ladder, playing volley ball, buckling her shoes. It's the action stuff that life drawing really helps you improve. It's pretty easy to draw a character standing still- but it's much more difficult to draw two people dancing together. gestures really help me with that kind of stuff

    Happy sketching!
