    The Red Sorceress

The brush... It has been a long long time folks.

I got my start in the industry at Black Isle Studios working on games like Icewind Dale and Baldurs Gate 2. As Baldurs is being re-released on ipad, they asked me to do a handful of portraits for the game. http://baldursgate.com/ is the link if you want to play the game. BG is a good one btw...and lastly the art there on that site is not mine. The below image is though

I should never have stopped painting, This ended up being the one that I felt had me back on track and so I wanted to share.

It's a really cool looking character and I especially like the feeling of the leather collar and the detailing on the costume. It may have been a while but you have still got all that knowledge and experience to tap into. I'm sure now you've started you will make time for it despite all your other jobs, which of course we don't want you to neglect either!

I had my first go at still life painting in oils this week and I just kept thinking, I'm painting, I'm painting! I am a late starter and have a long way to go but I would never have got to this stage if it wasn't for you and all the great community here at conceptart.org. I came home and all I wanted to do was paint. It is a great experience, but hey you know that. Hope we get to see more soon.

It's great to see you painting again. Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale and Diablo 2 were games that got me into art when I was very young. I've always wanted to become an illustrator and concept artist ever since. Like DStraX, I also found conceptart.org by trying to find out who did artwork for those games.

Jason, you're still the man! Vibrant colors. Has a creepy Red Queen quality to it... AWESOME!

I'm a long time lurker on the forums, I wasn't going to post anything outside my sketchbook *ever* but I just had to comment. Please don't stop painting and sharing on the forums. Your character portraits from Icewind Dale are my absolute favourite art ever and I'd love to see some more stuff from you. I wouldn't mind if you posted something from the older days either, like the chapter screens from iwd 2, they're not on the web anywhere, as far as I know, and non-gamers NEED to see them.

    I can't give you a crit, sorry :P.
