I don't know what I like better the "Stonecutters" or "Planet Of the Apes, the Musical":

I think it was how to gross everyone in an art community out.

    About screen names...

Depends a lot on the context, the world is changing that way. Day9, Grubby, MC, Nestea, Fatal1ty, iGotUrPistola, Hoodrych... there are millions of people (fans) who know who these people are and follow them intensely, worship even. Their real names are associated with them too of course, but barely draw the same recognition compared to their chosen screen name. Now that I think about it the most obvious is music where people have been going by some kind of nickname for a long time now.

Nothing to add about unicorns or the other stuff...

I have no doubt that those people are well respected, but I have never heard of any of them.
And I have to say, "MC" could have done a little more with that name.

He could be the most amazing artist in the world and if someone said "Have you see MC's latest?", I'd probably say "MC who? Hammer?".

Same for Nestea. If you tell me "Nestea" is making art, I am just thinking of shitty ice tea.

    Just offering a counterpoint...

    Political cartoonists often use nicknames.

Lol decent point. None are artists that I know of. First to come to mind is Coro as an example of an artist who is known by a handle.

MC's real name is Jang Min Chul (Korean), in the West I actually think it kinda helps people remember him as odd as that might sound.

Two people changed their name to their Americany-sounding names instead of their gibbernet handles on my DeviantArt account today. I thought that was funny.

Ok, this was about CA? Now we're just Random Chatter thread 2.0.

    No thanks. Closing.
