Hey Thomas, I've seen you around the Crimson Daggers quite a bit but never really saw any of your work. Your progress is impressive! And holy crap that royal orc night is looking awesome! Nice work!

Very cool stuff as always bro!
I love these peeps.
Holy shit that's a fucking badass chariot!
And damn you, you're 18!? Fucking hell, now you're making me feeling old. Maybe I should just give up >______________________>
And here's just a bit of nitpicking. The very hot highlight on the metal feels a bit out of place with the moderately low light on the body. The rendering on the metal is of course just fantastic, but it's so well rendered that it almostly makes the shoulder pad into the focal point of the picture. ;D
Thanks all for your feedback and kind words! - Fetsch, I agree and I completely just missed that, I'll go back and try to fix it, thanks! and Aaron_, thanks for your encouragement, and I agree about the highlight being too hot, I just feel like leaving that piece behind though, didn't like it really
Okay so I changed my name to Alla Primal to avoid confusion between me and the other ThomasM, I didn't know he was active when I started using that name. And Alla Primal is a badass pun.
here are a couple of characters im working on for the project. these are meant to be just basic enemies really. the big guy is meant to be like a suicide bomber type enemy, where he lights his gunpowder barrels on fire, the other is a 'count', a mage type. because the enemies in this 'level' will be modelled mostly after European nobility. im not completely happy with these at the moment so they might change quite abit until finish

and heres the dog thing im working on at the moment, im finding it difficult to understand cool vs warm and stuff to do with colours. at the moment it looks like something out of Batman and Robin (1997)

so i was watching batman the animated series and this started as just a doodle, but i really like clayface and his background story of being an actor so i tried to refine it abit more. it was really fun
oh and im leaving for holiday in the morning so i wont be able to update for a whilegoing to focus on traditional anatomy stuff though!

Stuff keeps improving, buddy. Are you finding that you're just working harder, or is the understanding just starting to flow? Something's changing for the better, though. The skull shape on this last one feels nice & solid.
Keep at it!

aboleth creature commission. i really don't like this piece. also i was asked to do a line art version, which i've never done before. bleh
p sage: both really, I definitely feel my understanding of values and light is improving, you have to constantly be thinking about it, don't put down stuff for no reason, all strokes and elements of a painting should be there for a reason and a purpose.
