Impressive book so far. Really digging those lips. Keep these coming!!!!!!!
i love Indiana Jones portrait.
This looks to be off to a good start, love your character work, and love how you paint lips. =D Really nice studies.
Glad you do!![]()
I appreciate the visit.![]()
Going to start doing something I call M.E.D. Packs (multi eccentric drawing packets...er, something like that). Stupid, I know. They are inspired by Salaryman's (a lot better) Fugu sketches.
These drawings consist of studies (w/ref) and random doodles from imagination. Some were originally traditional drawings, others purely digital (all were however turned digital except for two inks). I would like to do one of these packs about every 1-3 weeks. See if that happens.
Would have liked all the drawings to have the same quality of line work, but too tired to do that. Might do so later.
Hope this is entertaining to look at.
Eh.

good stuff. i would explore artists that share line work/quality that you would be interested in matching. right now your pieces are very outlined and don's have any subtly.
I assume you have a wacom? right now your outlines are overly opacity causing a very stiff feeling.
(this message has been writen while listening to loud metal and tequila).
Thanks!
You're right, they do seem a little flat and I need to attempt at varying the line quality (like having thicker lines in the foreground and lighter towards the back, lines gradating into the figure, and so forth). I was thinking maybe trying a different program that I own for doing line work (I think it's called sketch book pro?).
Thanks for the constructive crit. I appreciate it and the visit.I will take your advice and try to improve my line work in the next batch of drawings/sketches.
(I unfortunately have no music playing nor tequila.)
Best life drawings from last term. 1-10 (1 oldest- 10 newest). These were done on 18 x 24 inch pieces of paper.

The characters are really good and their design too. I want to see more of these with clean lines.

Hello all,
On the 31st of August (day after tomorrow) I will be leaving for Germany and won't be back until the 19th of September.
Thanks again for all the comments and constructive crits. I really do appreciate it.
I plan on sketching as much as I can while I'm away so hopefully I'll have some good stuff to post when I come back.
Here are a couple pieces I've been messing with but am not too happy about thus far (or the first one anyway). I may or may not finish them:
There is a third one but that one has been worked on the least.
I also have some more character concepts on the way (they're roughly drawn right now, I just need to clean them up and make them look like nice finished drawings).
Anyway, see you then!
MJ
