Fuzzy Lines?

Hello, I have a Kodak ESP 310 Printer/Scanner. I use it only for the scanner. I get fuzzy lines when I try to scan drawings to my computer. My settings as stand are usually:
* 300 DPI
* Grayscale
* 0 contrast

Yet, I still get these outrageous fuzzy lines when I scan. I have cleaned my scanner and I get the same thing. I've also switched between Bristol board, Printer paper, and sketch paper; but, I still get the same crappy lines when scanning.


Can anyone help???

try cleaning your lines in photoshop.
Other thing you can do with photoshop or illustrator is to do a digital lineart over you scanned work. (This option is the best imo, but the most time consuming too)

It looks like you're doing this in pencil. If you're planning to use this for linework, you'll have a much easier time getting nice crisp lines if you ink the drawings and scan that.

When I try that, I always get errors. I can't ink my linework without screwing up the entire drawing.

You should consider getting a lightbox then. It'll let you ink your drawing without ruining your original pencils.
