Hey everybody. Thought of sharing some some "secrets" of making my workflow A LOT faster, by using custom keyboard shortcuts for specific things you do.
Custom shortcuts
Ctrl + Shift + R - Rotate Canvas 90' CW
Ctrl + Q - Layer Mask (Reveal All)
Ctrl + / - Flip Canvas Horizontally
Ctrl + Shift + / - Toggle Layer Visibility
Ctrl + Alt + Shift + W - Open New Window
Ctrl+ Alt + W - Warp
Useful panels for painting
F5 - Brush Properties
F6 - Color Panels
F7 - Layers (photoshop default)
F8 - History
F9 - Actions
F10 - Navigator
(I am aware of"workspaces", but I prefer working when what I see on the screen is mostly the painting itself and not tons of floating panels)
Custom Actions
Quick "Show Only Values" layer:
Locked Background (so you won't paint on it instead of your CORRECT layer)Code:+ Make New Action (Set shortcut key to F2 (or something) + Make New Layer (Ctrl +Shift + N) settings in the "new layer" panel: Name it Values (or something like that) choose some layer color for it so you could identify it set blending mode to color + Desaturate (Ctrl + Shift + U) + Move to top (Ctrl + Shift + ]) + Lock All Attributes (The black lock on the layer panel, under the blending modes) End Record
So.... What are your secret techniques for faster workflow?Code:+ Make New Action (Set shortcut key to F12 (or something) + Double Click on the background layer Change name of the layer to "Locked BG" or something) hit OK + Lock All Attributes (The black lock on the layer panel, under the blending modes) End Record
