Post-portfolio review

I've edited a lot of my pieces from my CA portfolio review and have made some new work that I thought I would post. I'm currently looking for work. Spent the past 6 months off the radar after my wife's maternity leave ran out and my mother died. If you know anybody looking for artists please send along my name. Anyways, I think these first four pieces are much improved after the portfolio review I received here on CA. Thanks Jason, Anita and Brett.

Wish I could be of more help but I can comment on your work, I love it, but I think number one and four are superior, I love the depth on number one image The fish monster on number 4 is amazing, very professional. Hope you find work, mate.

Hey Joe - nice stuff. Don't know if you want to hear critique...don't have much anyway but the bird in the first image - seems pretty off on wing anatomy to my eye. And the bat/crab thing...ick! Really quite unpleasant! Good job! Hope things go well...

Your work is indeed excellent in that it evokes at immediate response. It has a freshness and very good technique but it is your original thoughts that will take you a long way. The lionfish is so good it should be in poster form so it can be admired every day. Class work Mate.

Here in NZ we have a saying :Kia Kaha! Courage, keep on. You will do well, keep at it.
