    Kevin's sketchbook - chipping away

Hello all, I am new to this site, but I really enjoy what it has to offer and the kind of community that has developed. I'm Kevin and I'm 16 years old (as of 2012). I've been drawing for a long time, and I would really like to pursue a career in entertainment design. I'm rough, not very experienced, and very hungry to learn more. I'm willing to work my ass off to become better at what I do . I'm eager to expose some of my artwork in the hopes to become a better artist, and learn from those with experience.
I would love any kind of criticism and would greatly appreciate any advice or tips for improving. I have tons of sketches and drawings, but I will start off with some stuff that I have already uploaded.
Thanks for checking out my stuff!

Clint painting, my first time drawing from any kind of picture. A little frustrating in the beginning, but I figured it out.

    Wow, welcome to CA!
I am really, really amazed at your works, you seem to have a great grasp of anatomy, value, and perspective. I really like those thumbnails you did, and you have a really interesting line quality. In the dog picture there's a great variety in value, that's really good.

I'm 16 too and I have a lot more work to do, it seems! I look forward to seeing more of your posts.

    Let's work hard! o/

I really love the rendering on the guns, and that bulldog drawing is top-notch! In addition, the marker-colored pics are also wonderful!

    Excellent work sir!
I can see you love making art, and that is the most important thing of all.
If you spend half your time studying the world around you, and the other half doing stuff from your imagination, youll be absolutely amazing.
Keep up the good work, and good luck!

Thanks for the great input! I agree, I think I need to spend a lot more time studying from what is real, and then I can work on the imaginary.

Quick digital drawing I did after watching Prometheus and Alien. Started with a rough figure sketch and just kind of kept on adding.

Wow guys, thanks for the words of support!

As for today, I have a little painting of bio machine guy somewhat inspired by the work of Aaron Beck(http://skul4aface.blogspot.com/).
    Hope you like.

Here's a more aggressive version with some instagram filter:

Here are some sketches from a page in my sketchbook. I wanted to develop a kind of vampiric-lord type guy. The first pic are some character sketches with a cut off description to the right. The bottom pic shows the progression of the vampire as it enters its "beast mode"(deprived from human flesh and blood).

Thanks a bunch creatures and human-like forms have always been my comfort zone, but I hope to change that soon.

Wow, it's been forever since I last posted and I feel like crap for not being active in such a great community. School just seems to have me on a leash
Anyways, I feel obligated to post something for being inactive for so long, so here are a few sketches I did a while back, and towards the bottom are my more recent drawings/ paintings. I hope you enjoy, and as always, criticism is more than welcomed.

Sketched this one out about a year ago...
