Hello everybody,

my friend asked me to find something about the piece of art he posseses and wants to sell. I do not know much about art, I cannot say anything about the style of this work or even suggest any pricing he may ask for. May you give me some guidelines about what kind of description he may give on auction and what price he may suggest for this piece of art? Or maybe you may suggest some other forum, I have found this one by typing "forum about painting" on google as my knowledge about art is limited.

Honestly, it isn't really all that good, and looks like it's something mass produced. There are also some very strange stylistic choices, like Mary's eye. Unless it was made by someone famous, I wouldn't expect to get more than $20 for it.

At the risk of talking to spam, its a bad commercial metal stamped copy of a Madonna and child, the closest resemblance is to a painting by Artemisia Gentileschi . I doubt it has much value other than sentimental value to the owners.

The image is based on Leonardo's Madonna Litta. It looks like a piece of mass-produced decorative art, fairly recent. I doubt it's worth much at all.

The left breast is there, it's resting regularly on her chest, it's just that the other one is being pushed upward by the baby, so it looks more prominent. The stitching is so she can open the dress and be able to feed the baby without having to take the whole dress off.

Unless you mean something else...?
