I'll post some older value studies first. These were mostly school assignments from 2009–2011.
•The first two are still lifes I made when I was learning oils. Both are on 14 X18 in. canvas board.
•The next one is some mouth studies in charcoal on newsprint.
•The one of Clint Eastwood is charcoal on newsprint (from a screenshot photo, of course). The dimensions are something like 16 X 18 in.
•The next one of the old man is charcoal and conte on 13 X 18 in. toned paper. It was from a stock photo.
•The last one is a self portrait for an assignment to show a face lit in an unusual way. Prismacolor NuPastels on 18 X 24 in. gray Canson paper
Really love the first dude. He feels really alive. Wanna see more and current stuff. Keep it up!![]()
Sketch and possible color variations for an acrylic/airbrush painting I painted last year. I ended up choosing the one in the first column, third row down. At the time I felt it looked best because the more neutral fur colors would be more plausible as a genetic adaptation, and because I wanted the piece to have a calm mood while still feeling bizarre and funny. I think it was a good choice but now I like some of the more boldly colored ones, especially the red variations.
Some recent studies from stock photos, and a couple of movies screenshot studies from half a year ago.
Those first value studies seem very accurate.
Keep posting, seems you got great potential.
Keep up!
