    Junk and Stuff

    @Egg0
    Thanks for the compliment Egg0, i'll keep track of your SB and critique when i can as usual

    @LtPlissken
    Hoping to do a lot more art, i've dropped the ball a bit lately.

    ____________

    Reading through Villipu again and spent some time on a Digital Study, i decided not to finish it because the drawing was so messed up. But i did learn quite a few things. I need to remind myself to not move out of the drawing stage so quick. Make my strokes count as opposed to just wildly going across the canvas. Still need to level up my digital really bad!

    The 2 apples are nice except for the shadow - shadows are tough and are a study in themselves. Don't neglect them as they hold everything together.

    Just studies and junk

    Few studies from the path week or so. Not including all the horrible pages of gestures. I've been having huge problems working from imagination. That D3 binge really rotted my head. Sticking to photo, life and book studies for awhile.

    More stuff from yesterday

    Started on a Still Life, it's a blue/orange complimentary setup. I'm getting pretty familiar with pastel colors now. Wanted to try a different approach to color application on the glassware. Working on the folds, fruit and small details today to finish it off.

    Then a material study, i really suck at armor and folds, i'll be doing a few of those for awhile.

    Also a doodle page, i haven't doodled in so long, it was nice just chilling and drawing whatever :3.

    That's a great doodle page. Keep fighting the good fight buddy. Don't
    worry about hitting the imagination block. It happens to the best of us.
    Using that opportunity to do studies is probably the best solution in
    my opinion. You'll soon be stoking those creative fires again.

    Pastels are fun to use. The orange in that last one has some nice form to it. Cross hatching is a good way to mix the colours without losing that sparkle pastels can bring.

    A large tree trunk size, full with autumn aroma inspirational aspiration
    you have unleashed upon us, with your latest berserk power. The
    eminent approach and the high excelling shine within your traditional
    paintings and drawings, is something to yet be analysed. You have
    that look, the strange aorta in your head, which gives you these impulses
    to be awesome in every aspect, creating fascinating angles, and unexpected
    fantastic results. Not a single fax machine on this blessed globe could not
    handle the message and subconscious waves that you are transferring to
    our natural receptors. My highest opinion goes for your latest creations,
    you do not stop, you never stop doing what you are doing, cause
    by ceasing your activities could develop a cosmic unbalance with
    a catastrophic results of the largest measures.

    Doodles and desperation to get better

    @Star Eater
    Thanks mike, i think i'm starting to feel the juice flowing again. I need to remind myself not to drop my sketchbook for such long periods of time.

    @Black Spot
    Oh very helpful tip, i'm still learning some interesting ways of applying it. Figuring out how to texture has been a bit of a nightmare.

    @Natalia Soleil
    Thank you for the compliment

    @LtPlissken
    Always a pleasure hearing from you LP, it keeps me going. I finished off that pastel by adding more detail to the folds in the background. Then really punching those highlights out some more on the glass to give it the finishing shine.

    ______________

    Here's some more stuff, mostly doodles. Also school is wrapping up and i have a pretty light summer load of classes, lots of updates coming!

    Looking good. Not much else I can say, as your fundamentals are coming along nicely and you seem to have a good touch with the pencil. Your pastels look promising too, would love to see more of those!

    Hi ixal just had a look through ur sketch book and i was thoroughly impressed. Great stuff! especially the gestures v fluid...

    neways i think the main thing to work on is EDGES. if u make this a priority ur art will take a giant leap . learn about soft, firm and hard edges then apply to figures etc

    great progress!

    Pretty dominant performance, da still life is bringing
    the heat on in mid winter time. Throw some shadows under
    that orange and under that big red thing, they deserve
    some shadows, shadows do not come for free, but they
    definitely deserve the price. You just be consistent with
    the dynamic pose practice, cause it will pay off in the end.
    The last abomination like creature is scary and he is in an
    undecided position, he wants to go down, but he wants
    to go up at the same time. He is a spooky big
    freakish surprise for the Christmas elder choir,
    which will just about to meat him.

    I'm in two minds about putting a shadow under the orange object. You could go 2 ways - exact still life or total light dissolving the objects like Degas. Whichever, you need to be bold and wreck a few pictures.

    Trying to get back into it

    Stuff came up again, now comes the task of oiling the gears and getting rid of the rust :|

    Anyhow, going to be doing a lot of figure/book studies for the next few days trying to remember this stuff. It's been awhile since i even opened up my sketchbook.

    I have to tell, you have oiled up your gears in the right direction.
    You see, there are not many of us active now, and your reinforcement
    came as a shower for Conan in the desert. In the moment when he
    was tied up to that big tree, and the birds was trying to eat him alive.
    Your majestic comeback will be celebrated, your drawings shine
    like headlights in the fogged night. Let's work now and
    bring some magic to this world.

    How long do you spend on those anatomy studies? They're really good, expecially the bottom left one. Stop leaving out the hands and feet though, if you wonna get better . I tend to do that myself.

    School is winding down

    School is starting to let up a bit, going to put my face to the grindstone again. Lots of studies inc... also i'm reluctantly posting up my shitty oil paintings here, maybe Mrs. Spot can lend me a hand or something? i think i might be the worse one in my painting class. Oil just bleeds around like a bitch, i can hardly control my line quality at all, maybe i'm mixing wrong.

    Those are some outstanding oil paintings, I think that you
    presented some new way how light blends through glass, and
    all those hardly understandable atoms which floats in the everyday
    air, is surely visible through the smallest bits and pieces of your paintings.
    I was up to criticize you, cause of not updating so frequently, but now I
    realize that you’ve been working hard and diligently all day long, even
    when not updating. Each morning your mirrored backflash, saying words
    of improvements, huge neon signs, saying that your evolution is more than fine.
    I admire how you started understanding the female breasts and its shape and
    weight. I think that you are on the right road to become a unique unbeatable
    high stone statue. You will be famous and there will be statues of your
    character all over the world, infront of schools and museums.
    You just stay consistent, strong and work hard.
