    Snakewoman on a throne

This is something I made after browsing around a couple of hours looking through the works of Frazetta, so it is heavily Frazetta inspired. It took some days to make and I felt I learned a lot, especially when it comes to values which I have been focusing on lately.

I would love to get any kind of feedback on my art and how to improve in the future, I appreciate it all.

The shading is good and the autonomy seems well defined on the face and body.

I'd be interesting in seeing a painting with some more figures too!(though just one is fine)

Pavel Sokov - Thanks! About the mouth statues, I thought "Adventure Time" when I made them. It's a great and inspiring cartoon if anyone is interested.

anendlessvoyager - It's in my plans!

It is beautiful. The scale effect doesn't look very real, though. And the scales look more like fish scales than reptile or snake scales. If you really want to go for a genuine serpentine look, you should use some reference for the snake scales. I guess that all comes down to what kind of stylization you're going for. Realistic vs. cartoon-like. And snake/reptile scales vs. fish scales or kind of leafy scales that look painted on or tattoo-like. One thing many artists struggle with in these Naga/Lamia/snake demon characters is the transition from skin to scales. That's not really an issue with this image because your scales look kind of tattooed on.

btw, I was holding my 8 1/2 ft. pet boa constrictor just a few hours ago, and of course, admiring her iridescent scales.
