Great character concepts!
Your colors are really interesting. I just think that you tend to colour the skin way too yellow maybe.
The birds on the prev page are killing!
Cheers!

Odayga: Nice! All those artists inspire me as well!
knut-: Thanks so much! Yeah, after I add extra effects, it tends to turn the skin a whole different color. I'll be alert when coloring!
Sketches from my sketchbook will be posted soon!

Some old observation sketches.
wewt wewt! keep up the good work!![]()
Great stuff, as usual. I love post 654, those birds are the cutest. The whole bird- musician thing would make a great print set.
Keep on with those animation studies- when your animation skills catch up to animating your designs, things will really get crazy!![]()
Odayga: Thank you!
Rhubix: Thank you so much! Yeah, I'm getting some comments about the bird/musician could make great shirts and whatnot.
Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been struggling with drawing lately. Did mostly observational work and studies.
I like your colour combinations, they're really relaxing to the eye.
Nice sketches too. Thanks for posting![]()

I'm positively jealous of your skills. Your drawings have such life in them, such emotion and expression! There's this "flow" that you've captured in them... I mean, to me they look extremely professional. I wish I could give you some better input, but really, all I have is praise.
Edit:
Looked through all the pages... amazing. You have this fantastic ability to capture the essence of what you are drawing. In your life gestures you can more than tell what the person is doing, but feel it. It's really incredible, and I mean that.
I'm a guy trying to break into the animation scene as well. Any chance I could get some tips on how to capture life as you do? Perhaps books you have read, work flow, thought process, etc?

Crow T Robot: Wow, thank you so much for the very kind words! I'm so happy you think my work is at a "professional" level. I always feel like I'm a beginner compared to some of the other amazing artists out there, haha. Books that really helped me recently have been the "Drawn to Life" series. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/024...ls_o01_s00_i01 It changed my view of drawing and my thinking process as well. I really recommend these books! As for my thought process, keep it simple! When I was beginning observational work, I was always caught up in the detail of what I was trying to capture. Try and find the flow and gesture into everything you see. It does not have to be perfect or highly detailed. It's hard at first, but you'll get the hang of it. I know I'm starting to understand now, too! Hope this helped a bit and good luck!
Hummingbiiirds.
Amazing show of exaggeration mixed with creativity.
I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. I'll definitely give that series a read. I've read the dumbed down version of the first book already(basically it was just a small pdf of 1/4 of the book) and I didn't expect that there would be much more in there but seeing as you recommended it I'll give it a shot for sure. Looks like I'm getting on the right track with the thought process though, so good stuff there.
I adore your art and can't wait to see your characters in motion, keep up the awesome work, and thanks again for the help!![]()
REALLY love your stuff! So much life in those characters. I think that they are really good to animate.
Please, do a favor for the humankind and keep it up miss!![]()
Crow T Robot: Thanks again and good luck with your artistic journey!
Somelar: Haha, thank you so much for the kind words! I will definitely keep going!
Shark week! Today's shark was the Oceanic Whitetip.
Great artwork, the sketches have some life there, not sure why this is a 4 star thread, i don't understand why some threads have 5 stars and not as much good drawings as one like this. I even jumped back to around page 12 and its still awesome drawings.
Great posts... nice nice nice. Loving the guy with the super taaall hat there. Latest shark is also very very good. Lovely interpretation
Keep it up![]()

Some drawings from my Figure Drawing Class. I think the legs might be a little too long on the longer piece. I need a charcoal pencil. Sorry about the quality as well.
