    Image size guidelines for Sketchbook

Apologies if this has been asked already but I couldn't find an answer after searching the forums. I'd like to create a sketchbook and begin posting images but am unsure what is an acceptable size to use for these images (in terms of dimensions, not file size)?

I clicked through to the attachment manager and looked at the table to see if there was an 'optimal dimensions' listed for JPEGs, but all I could see was the maximum dimensions you could post (10000 x 10000 pixels).

I don't want my images to be too large and clog up the site, just a good size to view when scrolling through the forums. I was going to guess a size, but thought there may be a protocol in place due to people viewing on different monitors/tablets/screen resolutions etc.

    Thanks in advance!

If you want to check the image size, add an attachment then go to "Preview Post" and you will see how big your image will be when it is actually on the forum, if you don't want to post then go back to where you started.

For a sketchbook, generally don't go bigger than 1000 wide x 800 tall, that's not a hard or fast rule but people will have to scroll if much bigger and it loses impact.
