Tchuk: The best part of you piece, I think, are the two glowing tentacles. They read well, are clear and give her the most distinct feature.
Overall however, I think she doesn't read too well. There is a lot going on - obviouly an octopus already has a lot going on, 8 legs and all. So putting a humanoid torso ontop of that, with two extra arms, jewelry and a busy mask - maybe a difficult thing to attempt.

I'm not sure if the glowing tentacles are supposed to be part of her or some holograms. But graphically, they do read well so in terms of design, I think they are her best features.

No I completely agree, I think I wanted to push myself with this image and I bit off far more than I was ready to chew. The design is incredibly busy and I think I've definitely learnt from this.

The glowing tentacles and clothes were mostly there to really set in the science fiction element of it though, as well as the idea of flowing clothes, I figured the tension inside water would hinder the movement of fabrics far too much to really any kind of dancing projected well, figured simply light would resolve that issue much more easily.
