I loove that girl with the sweet green orb staff. And that eyepatchless portrait is very very cool.

PoringMaster- Thanks dude, really appreciate the kind wordsGlad I can inspire!
JesseM- Yay thanks so much! Skeletons are really fun to draw, really glad they had an impact!
bopx- Oh awesome they were my fav to concept/and paint! So glad you like them, thanks so much!
So this is some old work from my early years in college, when I wielded watercolor like a champ. The project was called "One Fine Day..." and the goal was to tell a story in 6-8 panels without text.
I've been slowly breaking this down into concept art since Jan 2011 for my portfolio. I adore it so much, I've redone that digital painting 3 different times.
I finally finished all the content for that spread, I like how the final polish and turn arounds came out!
I'm working on some dagger designs for Nancy before I move onto her overall design, hopefully the weapons start to get more crazy, it's my first time really trying to draw weapon thumbs. I also need to make that enviro less busy and more focused.
Feel free to critique!
Hello sorry I have been away for a while my free time has been a little lackluster but oh well. I'm really glad I have something finished to share!
great style and color choices!
It's so cool to see how much you've grown artistically since we first started babbling on dA, haha. (Hi, ex-fan of Dir en grey Jeica/Geminick here! Not sure if you remember me, but HI!)
I really like your character sketches!
kevin_ Thanks so much manStill looking to push my color further though!
geminick- I'd never forget you baby ;D I'm so glad we've become reunited! I have a beautiful image of my early journeys into digital painting :> It makes me laugh every time I see it XD!!!
#1 Made a quick b+w enviro from memory, focused on speed+texture brushes+looseness
#2 Weapon thumbs for nancy
#3+4 I cannot for the life of me decide which image I want to finish up because I enjoy the compositions of both.
So overall I'm trying to gear my work more towards the video game industry. I evaluated my body of work and it did not seem that way. So from here on out I'm leaving the pretty picture making to studies and going to make my serious work more concept oriented >:0~
HAHA, nice one, nice one! X''D Not my own first few adventures into digital painting looked any better........
Anyways, I like the new stuff you've put up. Sadly, however, I haven't really ventured into this stage of painting yet, so I'm not really sure if I have anything constructive to say..
This sketchbook doesn't get nearly as much attention as it deserves! Completely blown away by the way you're using colour lately - so saturated and gorgeous, unf. And those brushstrokes in this one... just, gah, beautiful work. You're definitely giving me something to work towards here :')
As for the bottom two compositions... I prefer the wider panoramic one, personally - just seems more attention grabbing, leads the eye into the middle better, and it gives the kids more of a sense of idk, discovery? wonder? because the landscapes so big and they're so small... I also kinda like that it's a bit more of an unusual format, and you've pulled it off great.I hope that helps!
That's some damn good work here. I'm looking to go in a similar field but I have a looong way to go. Your studies are lovely, I need to get cracking at some as well.
Incredible design work here. I love your use of colours, and both your drawings and paintings have a really nice rhythm to them.
amazing work i love how u handle colors!

The greatest achievement is selflessness.
The greatest worth is self-mastery.
The greatest quality is seeking to serve others.
viki oh, I love this sketchbook! Your painting earlier really caught my attention. I forget which era, but your paintings definitely remind me of some 18th century Mannerism/ Impressionist-esque work. And I also love your studies, comic art, and concept art. I love it all! I know I have a lot of work to catch up to you.
geminick-it's so great to look back at old art xD! I wanna see your early stuff too! Awe you can tell me if something isn't working I love opinions, thanks for dropping by again, make some art so I can see how lovely your works become!
Jessibelle- Awwee, thank you dear, your too friggin sweet ;u; I prefer quality over quantity when it comes to comments, only thing I feel that lacks here is some ass busting critiques ;D And thanks for your suggestion on the 2 images it helped me make my decision, good valid points too, I definitely choose the panoramic one for my portfolio :>
Luskan- Thank you so much man, keep studying and practicing and you'll be surprised where you go :>!
Revidescent- woot, glad you like my designs!!! Thanks so much :3
iceman478- Thanks so much! Im glad you like my colors, I want to push them harder and make them more insane, kinda like rayman origins concept art/background art in the game *_*
gabeLamas- shit, oh man what a nice compliment ;u; thanks!!! I'm so glad you like my work! And dude, you can do it, just practice real hard and always challenge yourself

Below is scattered unfinished personal work over the past 2 monthsSorry I've been non-existent! I've been super busy and have a hard time adjusting to new work schedules!
I also have super amazing news! I just got hired as an intern by a indie video game company to do concept art and other cools things for a bit, starting in November! I am super pumped and excited/scared on so many levels! It's going to be my first studio experience! I am still in disbelief about the whole situation haha.
Congratulations about the internship hun, you deserve it! Hope it's awesome as it soundsand gorgeous work, as always!
Heeey, it's been a while. Your work is looking good, as always. Love how you play around with colors, it's looking great.
Also, congrats on the cool, new job! I'd love to hear how everything's going once you get settled!
Cheers!
Jessibelle-Thanks babe
I'm certainly enjoying it, it's totally awesome!
geminick- Hey! Thanks too, it's pretty darn cool, everything is going pretty well! Hope your doing good
So I got an ipad so I can do digital studies on-the-go and kick my ass instead of hauling my dinosaur laptop around. The studies range from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, there's a severe learning curve to painting on an ipad, but every time I study commuters, I am getting better, I can see improvement in each group of commuter studies yay.... Goals are to have a few styles happening. I want to become more realistic, and more cartoony. Separately, and maybe have something in between, I want to be more"diverse" and be able to do anything I am tasked with. I want to push more of a vectory style, like in the last piece! It's so much fun! I start 4 hour open life drawing in feb 8D so I can practice humans again, pretty pumped.
quick practice from last night, no refs, hour and a half.![]()
I really like how bold your color is, and how creative your costumes are. Do you have any advice for generating character ideas?
For Science- Sketchbook!
ForScience- Hey man, thanks so much! Honestly it all personal preference, and how much you've researched and then apply what you learn. Characters are tough, I am still learning as I go too, it's an uphill battle everyday! You could base some characters off a favorite story of yours, off everyday people you see irl, friends you know, anything! I take things I am interested in (medieval stuff, armor, weapons, patterns, color) and merge it with some weird type of personality quirk I think is cool. I also take things that piss me off and put them into designs as well, or things I find funny/cool. You can also like think up cool environments or worlds, and then once you've done that develop the types of people that inhabit it. I always make sure I ask myself questions by writing down notes too: "age, interests, what do they do, whats their purpose, etc" Also really good character designs are ones that don't need words to be explained, cause everything that needed to be said was communicated visually! Hope that helps
