Thanks dude. The grey? Nah, no reason. That was just an accident. I didn't actually put any grey in, those spots are small holes that still have the grey background showing through. I just forgot to fill them in.

Alright, finally I have an update with a bit more meat on it, so I think this is suitable to kick off the fifth page of the sketchbook
This is page five, right? I hereby officially proclaim the fifth page of this sketchbook: open!

I made the last second switch to an old face, but I don't think it's working too well after all. Probably change it back to young.

The dreaded SpiderClown. I was working on it late at night, but didn't get any nightmares, so I guess it's still missing something.
Need also to get reference for the spider head, and fix the lighting on the abdomen (I like the way it looks, so didn't want to touch it, but I realize it's inconsistent with the strong sidelighting in the rest of the picture).

Clean sketch of Cerviche. Rough sketches for everyone else are already done as well.
I'm so confused - do I use the cat's head to measure proportions, or should I still use human heads? What are the rules for anthropomorphics and humanoids?

And rough sketches for another two concepts.

Playing around a bit with Mendelian heredity
Wasn't really paying attention when starting this sketch, but it turned out kinda interesting so I developed it a little more.

    ...and I'm back.
Yikes, that was one hell of a break. And I started off so well too. My sincerest apologies to anyone who may have been paying attention to this sketchbook.
I had a bunch of personal stuff to sort through, but I'm eager to get back to what I love.
And thank you very much to SashaDevi for your encouragement, even though it took me some time before I actually saw it

Now let's see if I can still remember how to hold a pencil.

Ugh, so much rust piled up
This'll take some time to get rid of...
But hey, it's nice to be back.
