No work today =D, Not to satisfied with my results but I just need to work even harder. Some Bridgman, sinix, one page from the Ten pages I've done from reading Seedling's perspective guide. The nine remaining pages were all one point and two point perspective. Also some quick acrylics from life and ref.

Nice start to the sketchbook and thanks for commenting on my thread.
Good work waking up early and using that extra time to draw. Keep posting and keep finding time to draw whenever you can.
Hey , man! Congrats on the sketchbook.Just to say...there are NO fail anatomy studies. You learn something.Your purpose is not to make it pretty , but to learn something off the study.Anyway , good job and keep going!![]()

Good work dude. My suggestion is to break away from color and focus on black and white. In our early stagesof learning form is the main goal of rendering. At this point, color complicates things. Also remember that rendering is about creating distinctions in value relationships.
Aryeh
Thank you so much, I will definitely keep that in mind and get it rolling early tomorrow morning. MUCH LOVE!
Alright sorry for the slow update, A little big of everything, I have done many more pages but they were so dreadful that I did not want to bother with them. So here are a combo of Loomis, Bridgman, followed portrait tut from Matthew, fail imagination etc...Time to start reading The Dharma Bums for the time being
Thanks everyone for viewing.

Small Update:
sorry for the lack of daily updates, I wasted these past days rereading my favorite books and playing basketball with my mates. Time to get my head in the game!
I finished the ref'ed portrait and did my first oil painting =D, oil's are darn fun! I really like the slow drying time, it makes feather easier.

Here was yesterday's update, still having internet problems and been wasting alot of time trying to fix it. I will hopefully get todays update tonight if the internet does not go rogue -_-.
Not much but a couple studies, tried practicing shading my arm which is really hard -_- and a quick landscape from imagination. I used a custom brush on the grass.
Thank You!

Usual studies and my first digital portrait study =D, Anyone know how I can achieve blended brush strokes? I had trouble trying to make the brush strokes smooth and blended. Hopefully that will come from repetition and practice. Also I found my experimental painting/collage done with acrylics and oils, It isn't too old...I think.

Not much, It was a busy day. A landscape from imagination (tried to recollect my memory on the past area that I have painted from life), a still life and quick figures from imagination. Currently I can only achieve a likeable poses that are static -_-. I need to work harder to employ better dynamic poses.

a lot of work on here! wouldn't let me scroll down with all the images loading :b these are some good practices keep pushing out this much work and you will see improvement in no time!
Lately I have been becoming more aware of my studies now, trying to memorize contexts of lines and its relationship of distance with its surrounding group, It has helped me draw from imagination better because I remember the context of what is near etc.. I really want to improve......
Thanks
Studies, doodles, imagination, SP and life as well as one quick landscape study.

Wow you are putting in a lot of work and I can definitely see the progress in this page alone. My advise would be to practice subjects you can build solely with geometric shapes (cubes, spheres, cylinders) as it has all the difficulties of building organic forms but without as much complexity of random curving surfaces. Although just practicing portraits and stuff is fine, it would just help to simplify matters. Anyways, nice work and keep it up.

Thank you Will, and yes you are right. I will definitely start working on that.
So here is what's new: started reading Fragment by Warren Fahy and FINALLY FINALLY at the Torso and Shoulder Girdle section in Bammes life drawing book. I am uber excited to inhale all this knowledge that lies in this section.
Here are some Bammes, figures from imagination and a landscape from imagination as well.
Thanks

Alrightyy, I haven't been too productive these past days, been busy tutoring. I have also been reading a lot more rather than drawing, art related as well as personal. Today was my most productive day, Did a lot of reading, but was also able to get a good amount of pages in.
I did a total of 13 pages of Bammes torso section (used shapes to simplify cage), but only captured 10 or 11. Also a feeble attempted Sargent study using gouache and a still life using acrylics. I tried another digital landscape study but failed miserably that I gave up, the environment was a bit to complex for me -_-.

There's no such thing as a to complex landscape, in my opinion.
It's just about seeing the big shapes and working ON top of them, not around them.
This i found out today, working on my last landscape. I initially worked arround the
water, and because photoshop crashed 2 times (thank you photoshop hahah) i then
tried a different method, which ended up being better. Why not give that landscape
yet another goAnd don't give up till you finish it!
You'll learn tons from just taking
it to an end, just keep drawing!
Also look for some custom brushes with texture and try them out in envos. I took some
from deviantart and experimented. I now work with only 5-6 custom brushes regularly
and others just for random variation. See which works for you.
And have a look at this if you have time. I found it very useful.
