@Kalin: Haha the kitchen towle was pretty fun actually - had a similar texture to the hessian but not as absorbant (surprisingly). Anyways, cheap quick stuff if you don't have anything to paint on on you heh. Awwr, cockatiels are the cutest little birds and make great pets :')

Pastel/acrylic for school of hands and two pages from my sketchbook :')

It's really nice to see so many colours in indeed what would otherwise be dull looking fish. I like the texture you've given their skin as well with the lighting.

Awhh man - haven't posted here in ages. Been neglecting this because of school work. :C So a post catch-up!
Hands are pretty old (couple of months) - found them the other day. Then me trying out a new pen I got on a pelican, weird fish and Batgirl. Some artist studies, two bigger artist studies that I actually did from a gallery using new pens mhmm. Still praticing the pens on the eyes and a pastel study of some vegetables and stuff (perspective is of on everything arghh).

Just caught up with your updates and I must say I forgot how good you were. Seeing art like this always serves as a handy slap in the face when I'm being lazy.

Really, no crits from me (again) just keep up with the good work!
    Take a look? - Sketchbook -

Just catching up on posting :') First 3 are pretty old (and naff). Umm tried to pay attention to my lines in my recent life-drawings - especially the big one which is all lines but damn I think I'm trying to way too subtle ugh will focus on this next week. Also I guess I need to loosen/quicken up since I never seem to finish things - they're all missing feet heh.

Oil painting I did whilst watching the Royal Wedding the other day - feel like the background is pretty awkward colourwise (especially those blues ugh). Would a solid pale blue-grey work better?

ahhh I haven't been here for ages! I've lurked, but not posted. I went through a period of feeling of feeling really...non-comfortable with my art and being not very confident but, posting again yep.
so for a few posts it may be backlog of stuff from like june this year to recently, disregarding a lot of dumb fanart I did, oldest to newest:

Ahhh right, I need to keep posting here and stop getting distracted with fanart. Studies, right. Also, on the university front, come September (considering I get the grades) I'll be going to either Bournemouth or Ravensbourne to study 3D Animation!

    These are last weeks life-drawings:

Those animal studies are simply gorgeous! Looking through your sketchbook, it's interesting to see how you've grown. It's like your art has gotten even fresher, which is astonishing considering how fresh it was to begin with. I hope it makes sense when I say "fresh"; I mean it as like spontaneous or full of life... it's so to the point but still has those visible brush strokes and pencil marks that scream: YES this is a work of art.

Alright, I'll stop with the philosophizing. The only thing I wanted to comment on from the previous pages, which it looks like you've worked on a great deal actually, is that sometimes your lines seem very angular, especially in your pencil work (figure studies and the more cartoony drawings). But, like I said, your line variety has really improved, judging by the last few things you uploaded. Keep up the good work, you're a real inspiration!

@Fungus: Awh thanks so much dude! Yeah I've tried to pay attention to my lines - they tend to either be pretty same-y with no variation or(sometimes and) very angular and geometric - I think it comes from liking Mike Mignola a tad too much! Anyways cheers dude, I'll keep an eye on that.

Lifedrawings from school - loosening up and then some quick drawings - none more than ten minutes perhaps. Kept missing out the heads or feet :/
Self portrait from life < 30 minutes as an assignment for school and a Henry Scott Tuke study.
