    I like to dabble.

I have been away over the last 6 months, but since being back I have found my one true love, oil paints. Even beginning to like the smell of turp, anyway these paintings are to help me integrate into using oils. More updates on there way.

Great studies, keep it up. You're getting a lot of solid form with just a little bit of paint, awesome. =)

I really need to get off my arse and do more work like this. Great work on the studies, I think you have good skills in form and shadow. One thing I love to see with this sort of work is the expressionistic brush strokes that you have done in the top set of studies.

A few more studies- i always seem to do onions and banannas- probably becasue they are cheap

Quick drawing before an oil study. rushed the shadow on this, had to dash pretty quickly- not an excuse but there we are.

Ahh now life drawing, do it twice a week and really loving it
    my first tries- 20 minutes

first two hour sess- real good fun but found so many mistakes when I finished

second two hour, this time i was sitting in on a class so wasnt instructed in anyway= lots of mistakes and anatomy problems.

third two hour- an improvement I think (although the model kept getting cramps and so the hand and feet postion changed about 5 times)

I have alwasy been doing a few barque plates and bridgman studies, which are begining to help me see forms and shapes of muscles
    chris.

another bouguereau study in progress, these paitnings are great for studying.

And an etching of said drawing, really enjoyed the process.

Drawings from a life drawing a few weeks ago- the model I guess new spent more time moving than staying still, very annoying.

And last weeks, it was a two hour but because I was working small I moved onto tone before others although it wasnt great to be honest.

Well its been a very long time so i figure an update is needed

    A few studies,

A Self portrait, pushing the idea of chiaroscuro further than I normally do

    15 minute shadow study

Line drawing as the lighting is always bad in class

    another few line drawings

Been busy with my last term of college atm, and they has finished life drawing now which really sucks, so alot more master studies are needed me thinks.

I hope that with your last painting, you didn't outline it in black oil paint before coloring.

If you did, I hope you learned your lesson.

    Good luck!

It is looking good overally. Of course there are imperfections here and there but I'm sure you are aware. Life drawing is all about precision and self control to me. (I wish I had those

    cheers
