    Hi Leoz!
I'd like to start with i am definitely no pro, i am pretty much newbie myself. Second i like color scheme, but - first thing what popped in my head was, scale. I dont know how big or small trees are, or character ( maybe some grass, or leaves would indicate a little bit more, atm i can imagine both ways microscopic tiny world or very giant. Other than that i quite like it. And maybe it's a little too dark, i know title says Dark Forest, still might be lighter in some areas.

P.S. This is entirely my opinion, feel free to ignore it.

    Hey Leoz,

Now my initial reaction is that its empty and boring BUT I've seen quite a bit of art like this lately. It can be said the simplicity is a style. I've seen it used for like mood and color pieces for mobile games or cartoons.

So once I accept that, I like it overall. However, I still think it needs a reason why we're looking at it. You need to give the viewer a "payoff" is what they call it. What is the figure doing out at night? Maybe he is looking for some certain kind of plant for a potion...maybe some toadstools are growing there under the tree.

Also, the figure is not convincing. It looks like a fudged little guy. His proportions are confusing.

I would lighten behind him a bit with some fog so we can see him a bit better..just a little.

Thanks both of you for your awesome tips and crits

And artfix, my idea was actually ''old man in mystic dangerous forest searching for unusual herbs''

But for the viewer thats impossible to know so i'll probably add some kind of plant in front of him and also a belt with empty bottles/cans, thanks for clearing that up
