    Critiques plz. Need help.

Mediums I used: Prismacolor Pencils, Crayola markers, Copic markers, Micron Black Pen, Crayola crayons.

This is first time I actually tried to make my self portrait(sort of) with traditional tools.

I want to know if I have to fix anything or have any problems with the artwork.

    Thanks!

Study folds. The clothes folds in your picture aren't only not fold-like but why would be surplus fabric on the above side of the knee? The fabric is stretched there.

Study anatomy, especially the hands look silly. The collarbone and the pit of the neck can't be seen like this if you view the torso from profile. The feet seem to lack toes, I guess you oversimplified them and made them too short.

The eyes aren't focused on the paper. They look unfocused and kinda okay if you wish to show thinking.

Study proportions, especially regarding the head. Beginners forget that negative space is just as important as positive space. They give too much importance to the face and facial features and don't balance out the back and top of the head. Since "cute" proportions rely on having a lot of back and top of head space and very small faces, most beginner drawings look like the opposite of cute.

So if you're hoping to make a cute self-portrait, pay a lot more attention to the parts of the head that seem "unimportant" because there isn't a lot of detail there. There is no part of the body that's "unimportant".

I'd say to focus on the proportions of the human body, and the pose. You have a ton of references up there as I see x] Cutting the character in parts should help you if anything ! This is a nice start as said Kendall up there Keep going !
