I've already sorted out the house I'm renting I think, I got my roommates together and it's pretty close to the school. I think a couple of us might be staying all year round, and the rest of us will be leaving during breaks.

No, I don't think so.

I put up my roommate profile up at the end of March, it was supposed to expire a month later but I pulled it down after two weeks because I had so many responses from it. It seems a lot of people started looking as soon as they were accepted or rejected, plus a lot of programs apparently run year round so students accepted to those started looking ASAP.

We wanted a cheap place walking distance away.

One of the homes we were interested in ended up being leased two weeks ago, and so we're in the process of closing on ours. The landlords for all the homes we were looking at had other potential students come around looking for places, they said and listings were disappearing on that website.

I actually know a few students who have already moved up to the area and rented close homes to the school.

Just a heads up for anyone on the waitlist, I'm on it too and I called Sheridan and asked about the chances of getting into residence. They said that out of 200 people on the waitlist usually the first 100ish people get in at some point or another but it always varies by a bit.

I'm on the waitlist, and I don't think I have high chances of getting in, but I have had 5 offers for housing from placeforstudents.com and now its down between 2 houses (they both said they would be renting out rooms to 3-4 animation students)

I like that in the residence application they ask if you are messy or clean. Either Sheridan plans on lumping the messy people together to create a tornado of filth, or they're trolling all the clean students by matching them with a slob.

Every question in the profile seems like a double edged sword, as you say, are they trying to balance different type of students or group them all togheter?

As for the residence survey, yeah, I'm really hoping I don't get paired with a messy person lmao xDD I consider myself pretty neat, so being with a messy person would drive me insane o_e Not a happy experience... for the both of us, that's for sure

Hey guys-- posting here on a new account, old email address is now defunct. My brother started this thread several years ago and I used to be an active member of this discussion (you can try to guess who I used to be!)

Anyway, I'm looking for a roommate to fill an apartment about 15min walk from the school. I thought some of you might not know the area very well, or might be in a tight spot finding a roommate/place to live if you're returning next year.

Please just send me a pm or email if interested and I can give you the rest of the details. Nuff said though, the place is affordable and close to the school, mall and other shopping centres. I've lived here awhile and its primarily due to its great location.
