C.O.W. #257, Grunklins. WIPS

Idea was a very large rodent type creature that instead of storing the candy in his cheeks its swallowed and stored in pouches for the long winter months. (little guy in the corner has a full belly) very preliminary. Second time I have had the guts to show a WIP/try COW o.o

Starting to mess with shading and color of my concept. First time in over a year doing digital but its nice to get back to it and remember how fun it can be.
not sure about background yet though.

made the legs bigger to really make it look like it can jump to space, gave the back feet some more sturdiness and grip via spikes for a take off jump in snowy mountains. made the teeth bigger to get them as big as the head. i'm interpreting it as each tooth as big as it's head. added some colors.

Here is an update, later i realized that the face of this guy is looking similar to the one of a famous cat , if you know what i´m talking please note that it wasn´t on pourpose! i just did a quick sketch wich evolved to look like this.

That would be great, i´d like to spend 3 more hours or so in this grunklin guy but i´m not sure how to improve it or if i´m missing something.

elephant's stroke- I can't tell if he's sitting on a cloud or a mountain... you'll want to define that more. Also, only one hand appears to have fingers, the other just has claws. I like the tail but you could probably smooth out the rendering and get the edges a little sharper on it. I like the teeth. Hope that helps!

Another idea. Grunklins being a species with different varieties and they eat candy but in their natural habitat they eat candy bugs

@ChrisKlungerbo, those are looking very nice, the middle is the best imo, but the variety is great.

nearly done I think o.o have to say this is the first digital piece I'm really proud of. Normally do traditional and I'd say this might even be better than some of my traditional work.

Hey, this is my sketch. My Grunklin eats lots of candy so he is really fat, his teeth is so big that he can't open his mouth to eat candy, so his tooth have a hole , and he jumps by his ... BUM.

Very good and very cute, Brehm, but I'd just say the hole is a biiiig dental carie from all the candy, because if he eats throgh the hole, then how he chews all his chewable candy? I'm sure Grunklins wouldn't settle for just the ones you don't chew!
