im in HKU be happy u are not in there. the school is crap but the people i met are great. the only things that is usefull is that i could go to japan to study there and have an intership ofcourse. As for the education it sucks but its a nice place to make contacts.

Hey man, really cool sketchbook! I'm lovin your pencil stuff, the characters and figures are really nice. Your paintings are cool too, keep up the great work.
One crit i might suggest which i noticed with your recent painitngs is the use of blacks and whites to alter your values. A good book which opened my eyes alot is James Gurneys Colour and light, which might be of help to you also. Its very rare in nature to see true blacks and whites on objects in light, theres almost always shades of colour in there, bouncing of objects around them, you probably know this already, and sorry if this crit isnt of any help, perhaps try pushing the still life studies and examine those colour and values. Like i said though, your work is awesome regardless, keep it up man, and all the best for 2012

I havent kept up with this stuff. Your pencil stuff is looking tight! You digital work could so with some more cleaning up and a lot more material definition but its also improving a hell of a lot.

Solid pencil dump man! Your traditional work is getting really strong. I see you've been looking at a little Rapoza. It shows in your portrait work. Digging the warms vs cools. Try experimenting with how to approach painting hair though. It tends to get a bit "stringy". Keep rock'n!

ninjac: Thanks for the compliment, though in defense, to be honest i havent rly used rapoza tinted reference on any of the portraits .. tho i gotta admit i would be lying if it didnt inspire me somewhere these last years. there's definatly an influence i guess.

Massive improvements even since the last page, your strokes are getting smarter, your colours and values are on point, and your tackling a diverse range of subjects! Mad props again for the large zombie image, when you have more time would be good to see you tackle more of those larger scale images.
