Hello everyone!
I was following these forums quite a while. Before I usualy use to come here to take a look to other people sketchbooks and for some other tips about tablets. I didn't wanted to create account, because all these years I had in mind that if I would create account here, I should open my own sketchbook to able motivate myself and improve as far as I could. Well I hesitated till this day, so today is the day when I say to CA community. :3

And yeah, my English isn't that good but I hope its understandable.

I've had this account for a bit, but I don't make much of an effort to involve myself...
I'm a 3d Generalist in VFX, lots of feature film creature work (Mostly sculpting and rigging). After 7 years working in Vancouver, I'm suddenly in montreal, and I'm looking for some other people to sketch with, or at least learn the best places to sit and sketch.
I'd love to learn more about the film / video game community out here, this job caught me a little off guard, and I feel pretty stranded out here.

Hello unknown friends , I have always been in love with drawing, although I don't seems very talented in this area , but the better part of this story is I have some weird imaginations, and often very good ideas. The main problem is I can't draw this ideas on the paper :'( .

You can consider me as the total beginner, I would like to improve myself as much as it's possible, I understand the key of improving is in practice, but what the hell, how am I supposed to practice when I'm going in the circle and I am always hitting the same wall.

I would like to get some basic pointers of how to improve my drawing skill? Suggest me some good books,materials, ideas etc.

Hey there, I've been a long time lurker on this site and decided to grow a pair and join up.
My art background started in the printing industry, I was in prepress for 3 years learning tons of stuff about the design programs and printing protocols. After that, I went to a design school for a few months - dropped out but will try again later on.
(being a mum and sole trader takes higher priority, lol)

In my free time, I take my visual diary with me to sketch or collect business cards/posters/brochures for inspiration. My favourite designers are Neville Brody and Paul Rand.

Hello, there! I'm new to this site!

First off, my username is related to a name I heard in Fallout: New Vegas. That means I love video games.

I'm in my early 20s, I've had a love for drawing and music and all things 'art' for as long as I can remember. I slowly started tending to an anime-esque style of drawing in my mid-teens. This gave me a slowly growing desire to draw.

I was led here by a dude (I don't know his username, but where I met him, he was Disaster Grind) who said this is the place to be if I needed help, drawing lessons and anything related to art.

Until recently (Betty Edwards, though I'm stuck since I don't have a picture plane), I've been entirely self-taught.

I'm Caroline. I'm 16 and always liked art. I really want to improve, so after lurking here for a while, I finally mustered up the guts to sign up. I was on Deviantart for a while, and it's nice and all, but not exactly a place where I'm going to really improve. So I came here. I want to be more professional about my art, rip away from my pre-teen manga-esque style I've held onto for so long, and actually get BETTER. I really love art and I want the confidence to know that I could actually make it out there in the world with art.

I'm now 20 and studying my final year as an animation student with an excessive focus into concept art and preproduction, developing a proficiency in 3D Modelling and mostly important: Illustration, thus I'm here to make some more impressive stuff for my Portfolio when i finish my studies.

Also hopefully i shall have significantly more activity just foruming... I kinda avoid forums since i had a severe addiction back in my anime fandom days, becoming a judgmental behemoth ruling the Fan art scene in South Africa with a trolly-flamey iron fist...

Years ago I visited CA looking for photoshop tutorials or something... After realizing this place was on a whole other level I left. I return now with a full time devotion to visual art and improving my skills as an artist. I am 30 yrs old and looking to enroll into art school. As a self taught artist, I lack in my development of the fundamentals.
