new sketches
some more sketches...
Hey! Humm Al Pacino...![]()
This portrait is good! Maybe the nose is a bit too short, not exactly short but not symmetric, his left nostril should be lower... You should flip it to control, maybe I'm wrong!

thank you so much clochette!!!
yeah!! you're right! ugh... and because of that nose i think the left portion of the mouth has also gone a bit out i suppose!
Really cool sketches. Mind if you share the process?
That Pacino piece is great! You have very strong value sense! Keep 'em coming!

thanks!! sure i'd love to share the process.
i'm usually doodling at my desk while the tiresome 3d rendering is taking place on my computer. i just draw expressions and trying to shade em.
when using refrences i usually try to keep the proportions correct (and dont succeed too often as you can see) but doing cartoons and stuff i dont worry bout the proportions much.
for example, when drawing a portrait i start with an eye, and then draw every thing else in proportion (compared to) that eye.
i'll try to draw the whole process step by step when ever i get the chance.
Some more...
Hey! Thanks fo stopping by my sketchbook =D I figured I would return the favor. I really like your line work, especially the pen stuff in your first post. That batman is really awesome. Also your figures are sweet; they're really balanced looking, like you don't have to really think about it very hard to get the figure right. Nice start! Got anything in color?
Genna's Midnight Scratchings - Now with 25% more caffeine!
i'v got a few in color too... but... they're really bad... i still dont know any thing about coloring. i'v got a tablet and i try it on my own but i dont really have any good idea about levels and colors and proper lighting angles and all that technical stuff.
but i'm trying. thankyou for stopping by.
i highly appriciate it!
thanks!!!
Love the sketches, keep it coming!
Cool Batman sketches and a great batch of head studies (especially of Mr. Pacino). Keep up the good work!
