Considering the recent occupy [money place] campaigns around the world and everything going on in egypt and everything that happened in Libya recently - I'm thinking some sort of near-future-rebellion-member might be a good idea, I mentioned this one before, but it had more of a story wrapped around it (which might have been a bit restricting).
really looking forward to the fourth and a new topic, but please, no two weekers, its too long to wait if you have no ideas or don't want to join in with something :/

How about a forth Team-Chow event?
Idea: The regretful Siren
'An irresistible and unfathomable instinct drives her to lure mariners to the dark fate with the equally irresistible beauty of her voice. She grieves for them yet she must be what she is...'.
The challenge would be to depict the Siren conveying her regretful attitude while at least hinting at her dangerous nature. Must be female and done as though for a book illustration. Can be a monster or have a beauty to match her enchanting voice (or aspects of both?), can reflect the mermaid-like image of more recent imagining, the bird-woman creature of ancient Greek mythology, or something entirely different.

Great Siren idea! I was thinking of remaking some fairy tale characters. Recently saw a trailer for the new Snow White movie and thought doing some different fairy tale characters would be a fun challenge!
design a new assassin that does NOT look like Altair or Ezio from the Assassin's Creed games, but would still fit the style and era. Maybe requires an new weapon/contraption that we could do a crossover with Industrial Design of the Week?
*like these unique assassins
John Wayne Gacy -- the Sequel.
- Evil clown serial killer.
-- Instead of the typical leading of children into the 'tent' to kill them, why not make a villain that convinces children that he/she is not actually evil.
-- The clown can only be seen by the children.
-- This clown in turn ends up being befriended by the children and ends up following the family home.
-- In the end the child actually lets the clown into the house only for the clown to wait until the child is asleep and proceeds to murder the parents.
Must haves:
- Clown / circus influence.
- The murder weapon of choice.

The CRIMSON DAGGERS
My idea is influenced a lot by the game Darksiders, which follows War (one of the horsemen of the apocalypse) on a quest to clear his name and prove that he was called to destroy earth (even though his brothers: Strife and Death, and his sister: Fury, were not (and no one believes him)). In the game, the horsemen would be called when the seals (made by god I assume) are broken, but who looks after those seals? And who breaks them?
Why, the Keeper of the keys of course.
The keeper of the keys is a fallen angel, fooled into a life of evil, his wings torn from his back so long ago that not even he remembers his real name. Commanded by Lucifer himself to look after the seals and make sure they are not broken before time, the Keeper lives a life of violence and pain. Condemned, he walks the halls of hell's dungeons, assuring no lost or damned souls escape the bowels of the underworld, although, since it is also his job to get them back if they do, he sometimes leaves a key or two lying around, simply so he can break free from the monotony of his cursed life, even for a short while and a quick chase.
To his chagrin he is at the beck and call of the horsemen, something War, Strife and Fury take for granted. Death, however, the fourth horseman, is the closest thing the Keeper has to a friend. After Death has pulled a soul from the chest of the deceased, he escorts the unfortunate spirit through the nether and across that nameless lake that is the portal to the underworld (for a fee of course), on the other side of which he hands the soul off to the Keeper, who will lock them in their fiery prison for all eternity or send them up to meet their maker.
The task is to draw the Keeper of the keys, ready for battle - the seals have been broken, agents of heaven and hell have been called to Earth. While the horsemen reap havoc, the guardians of heaven attempt to rescue the souls that will inevitably be released as humanity burns, while demons of hell seek to drag them down into the underworld. The Keeper has vowed to give each individual soul what it deserves and make sure they end up in the correct domain, to end the free for all and restore peace to Earth (from the ashes of which, a new kingdom of man will grow).
You can either draw him in his old armour of heaven, donned in the hope that he can redeem himself in the eyes of the heavenly order and be allowed back to walk amongst the clouds and his brethren as he once did. Or you can draw him in armour forged in demon-fire, angry at the kingdom of heaven for condemning him in the first place.
Rules:
- The keeper owns a weapon called 'The master key' (you see whut I dun thar?), whether its a sword, a mace, a gun or even a shield or something magical, make sure he has it in the picture.
- He is able to hold his own in battle against some pretty ungodly creatures, so no anime wimps with glasses and very thin swords, try to stick to the ascetic of the game (pictures included below).
- Ideally male, (I've been saying 'Him' this whole time after all) but a female keeper is acceptable, I wouldn't want to deprive you guys of feverishly drooling over a picture of an impossibly proportioned female of your own design, now would I? (is it sexist that I'm encouraging women to do the same? Do women even think the same way? Am I stupid to ask these questions? Anyway, I digress) Besides, the creators of Darksiders are certainly not above such things, as you can see. Apparently the after life was a total sausage-fest, so Vigil games and THQ decided to spice things up a little by adding two more jiggly things to look at while solving the hellforged puzzles in the second game.
That big fucker with the sword is War, the girl is Fury, You can guess who death is, and strife has two pistols.
The woman with white hair is Uriel, an angel sent to stop you (war) who -- well I'm not going to ruin anything for you.
Edit: Oh, and the other big fucker (with angel wings) is just an angel.

It's election time on planet Demos and the candidates are gearing up to promote their platforms! And just in time, too. Many problems plague this turbulent sphere - an influx of refugees from a neighboring interplanetary war, mining resources are drying up, and everyone is concerned that the government is riddled with corrupt deal-makers. Is there a candidate that can manage to stand out for the denizens of this troubled alien planet?
The Remade are a group of bio-engineered people in the novels and stories by China Miéville set in the world of Bas-Lag. Bas-Lag itself is a mix of magic and technology, and the Remade are an example of this.
They are usually criminals who are punished for their crimes by the addition or alteration of body parts, which may be either organic or mechanical. The Remade are extremely varied in nature, ranging from those who have had their legs or lower bodies replaced with steam powered engines, to others who have had animal and human body parts attached to them.
The nature of the Remaking often reflects the nature of the crime: in Perdido Street Station, a man who stole a painting of a garuda (bird-man) was punished by grafts of feathers, non-functional wings, and a metal beak, to make him look like a grotesque parody of a garuda, while a man who would not give information on accomplices has his mouth 'erased'.
Because their new body parts sometimes grant them newfound abilities, Remade may serve specialized purposes in society, often as indentured servants and slaves. In Perdido Street Station, Remades with their heads twisted around and fitted with mirror helmets are used against the slake-moths, giant insects which could not safely be looked at, while Remade prostitutes cater to every form of sexual perversion. The Remade are treated as slaves in New Crobuzon.
Remade animals
Animals too are sometimes Remade in Bas-Lag to suit human purposes. For example, the New Crobuzon Militia uses both Remade horses and rhinoceroses, the latter known as "nashorns" (a reference to the real Nashorn tanks), gigantic two-story creatures with drilling horns and gunnery attached to their backs. In Iron Council, a militia strike force is transported via a cathedral-sized Remade fish.

For any of you who remember dungeon keeper, how about a new creature?
Your creature can be anything but it has to have some element of battle in it.
My ideas are:
-Choose a pre-existing character, redesign it, but with a rule, you must give it a sex change.
-If you are male, draw yourself female, if you are female, draw yourself male.
-Draw yourself as a pre-existing character, what would you look like as the green lantern, soap from CoD, The Flash etc?
Medusa the Victim. We have her as the queen of the gorgons, but not as the unfairly cursed angel. I'd like to see her crying, maybe with her sisters hugging her.

Unofficial Idea Suggester
How about re imagining the scooby gang as a ruthless band of villains. Instead of solving crimes, they commit them.
sith or jed, design one.
or maybe draw yourself as a jedi
I like this concept. I can see her crumpled and devastated at the results of her curse. I think this may also work for an illustration of the week.
I don't have many good ideas right now but what about a human or humanoid figure with the expression/pose/clothing based on an animal? I'm thinking more obscure concepts not just a werewolf or angel.
Spetsnaz of Andromeda-What about a commander (male or female or gender neutral who knows) of a super elite branch of the Andromedan planetary military, used for intelligence, reconnaissance, combat what have you.
Mongolian Steampunk - The boy that would be Khan seeks world domination in a steampunk Mongolia.
Infected scientist - A meteor smashed into earth infecting it with an alien bacteria. The head of disease control is fighting against time and symptoms never seen before.

To show that what can be done in one week, I'm suggesting a two characters week, where you have to design two characters (possibly for a game) with the same aesthetic (eg: post apocalyptic, sci-fi, medieval) who depend on each other to survive, one could not operate without the other.
Whether these characters are like Salem and Rios in Army of Two, best mates, always in competition, or have a love-hate relationship like Monkey and Trip in Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, where Trip is forced into a situation where she has to enslave Monkey in order to get home, (no SPOILERS intended, but it's obvious from the first chapter that they'll end up liking each other).
These two characters MUST complement each other, they can be an acrobatic, headstrong traveller and a tech-savy, but generally peaceful village-dweller (Monkey and Trip) or two friends wronged by the same enemy and out for revenge (Rios and Salem). Whatever you can think of, you can do, so long as there is an explanation of why they are together and you can see what they do and why what they do makes them essential for their and their partner's survival.

I've seen Death be personified a million times. A cloak wearing Scythe carrying Skeletal figure. But I don't think I've ever seen Life itself take the form of a character.
What would life look like? Would it be a bleak nihilistic character who's inevitable doom is utter end? Would it be a bustling vibrant happy child who celebrates it every day? How would you even personify the philosophy and the spirit of life? I want to leave the brief a little more open so people can be especially creative with this one, and think outside the box, and really play with the idea.
I don't know what I would set as the rules, other than it must be a materialized being; try to avoid things like whisps of energy or clouds of breath. It doesn't have to be human, but it should scream 'Life' in all of your design choices.

I am not sure I am eligible for suggestions because I have not participated yet, but maybe someone willl pick up on some ideas?
I am mostly tired of characters that I see 20394759485 times on the internet, and I would love to see ChoWs that force us to deviate from the normal projections. For example:
1. Lara Croft in a parallel universe as a Cow, or Goblin, or just a man. "She" would have the same adventures and needs similar equipment- but how would a different race pick up on this task?
2. A famous character that must be visualized on the basis of a master's painting- echoing style, colours, composition etc. How would Turner or Manet picture "God of War", or Spyro the Dragon?
etc. pp.
P.S.:

I see what you're saying with this, but drawing a character in the style of Salvador Dali (for example) would just be a pain in the arse and you'd effectively just be adding extra hoops to jump through (not that we have to jump through hoops ATM). Just because you're into art doesn't mean you have to be into art. In that you can really enjoy making art, but you don't necessarily have to like going round galleries or like other people's art. I for one find the old masters' work tedious in the extreme, I can appreciate their skill, but when all their famous works were commissioned by the church, you can see why a modern day atheist gets bored of old women in flowy dresses with a tit out and the baby jesus with a sixpack.I am not sure I am eligible for suggestions because I have not participated yet, but maybe someone willl pick up on some ideas?

Damian Hurst is a tosser, Tracy Emin's an idiot, and it just seems to me that the only reason they pickle sharks and put their grotty, semen-covered beds on display is that they found actual artistic skill a bit hard to master.
Don't even get me started on surrealism either.
I think a redesign of the classic shooter game character would be a fun one, seeing as we haven't had anything shooty or soldier-y for a while.
so you'd have to design one of these:
- An Assault
- A Heavy trooper
- A Medic
- A Sniper
- An Engineer
You know, the usual default classes you get in a shooter game.
