Up for a medal this year but the competition is guys like Android and Meseldzija. Just getting in is enough.

congrats to all who did it!

it's always an awesome book to show someone when you are asked if there is still awesome art these days by people who are not into this scene

i can't wait to get a print. looking at all this amazing stuff in real life as a print is so much better than on a crappy monitor....though i would die for seeing some of the original art....

@Noah: yeah i know about most of these events and cons....but living in europe and being a student (so don't having the money to book a flight) means that there is a stupid ocean between the original art and me

and i was already in ghent and took a look at it

and of course there is a lot...tons of great art in europe's museums, but i want to see it all

it would be sooooo cool if exhibitions like spectrum live and others would tour through the world like music bands.

Are you fucking kidding?! Nearly all of the world's major artworks are in Europe. The US has nothing in comparison.

i don't meant it like that....what should be obvious when i said that there are tons of great art in europe. and i use every chance to visit europe's museums. and yeah most paintings of my favorite painters are in europe and just last week for example i saw "the geographer" by vermeer (which blew my mind), some great paintings by rembrandt and alot of other awesome paintings too.
and just across the street (not exactly but you get the point...) is a museum with some incredible cool stuff too (a self portrait by rembrandt and alot of dutch masters).

so i know that europe isn't a bad place to see original art that will knock you out.

the only thing i was talking about was that most events which show originals of contemporary art (regarding illustration, concept art, etc...the kind of stuff that is shown in spectrum for example....i hope it is clear what i mean) seem to be in the USA. and i would really like to see some of that stuff in real life.
but perhaps there are events like this in europe i just don't know about...

    and ps: i'm not complaining and it wasn't meant too serious....that's why i used a " "
