    Talking SCAD vs. AAU

    Hello,

I recently graduated from a UC with my BA in Studio Art..I managed to finish college within three years by taking 18-21 units a quarter/semester in order for me to move on and pursue my endeavors within the animation industry.I'm currently looking into an MFA program for Animation at AAU and SCAD. My emphasis is in Character Design/Visual Development and would like to know which one would benefit me more based on my area of concentration. I would like to know peoples experiences at both and what I should expect. How are the professors? Student to faculty ratio? Student life? dorms/housing? Job placement rate, networking opportunities, etc?

Sidenote: I am a completely self taught artist and feel that pursuing an MFA in Animation will make me a well rounded young artist/individual prepared for the industry.

I will be applying to SCAD and AAU within the next couple weeks

    Looking forward to your responses!

I dont know much about how SCAD is in that area. But, i heard that AAU is pretty good at animation major but due to the atmosphere, it is hard to focus.

SCAD would be more school-like while aau facilities are in those tall buildings in sf.

Once upon a Shooting Star - I did a pre college experience there when I was back in high school but it was in their fine art/illustration dept. I'm pretty eager to see how their animation dept is.
