Where to study in the UK?

I'm currently doing a 2 year digital art and design course at city of glasgow college. Does anyone know what would be a good step after this to get into the concept art industry? More study or internship?

I'm currently doing a 2 year digital art and design course at city of glasgow college. Does anyone know what would be a good step after this to get into the concept art industry? More study or internship?

I'm currently studying Computer Arts at Abertay University in Dundee. The course is pretty good, and if you put your back into it, you can get a lot out of it. As well as this, we have the opportunity to work with some great people outside of the uni. I just got an email last month from Disney looking for people from our course to get a 1 year internship with their London studio. Also, in our 3rd year we have group projects where we make a prototype game or such and then pitch it to Disney, Sony, and so on.

There's also a bunch of competitions going on every year, which are great for getting contacts in the industry. A group this year won a bafta, just a week or so ago for this prototype game:



The course has been good for me so far because I have time to work on my skills without worrying about money and work. You should check it out on the abertay website if you're interested. But like I say, this is just one route of many, find one which works for you.
