Hi my name is Meg, Im from the Uk and graduated from Art college 2 years ago. I’ve been looking around the forums for a while now but have finally got my act together and joined.

I’m really hoping to use this sketchbook as a way to get better and develop a portfolio good enough to gain a job from.

Until 2 weeks ago, when my drawing tablet arrived in the post I have been a traditional artist with the exception of Photoshop to clean up some illustrations. The leap to digital is on-going and I hope some of you more experienced digital artists can give me a few pointers on how to improve my paintings.

Anyway here goes. I’ve a couple of pieces so far a landscape and a portrait both done in Photoshop with a Wacom intuos 4. Not really concentrating yet on content, just been trying to master actually painting. (It’s really easy to muddy things and the burn and dodge tool alters saturation very confusing.) But I’m loving it.

Feel free to comment I really appreciate constructive criticism.
I will try to post my progress often.
