    The Batgirl

Here is a painting I have been working on recently for a private client, who just wanted a cool painting of Batgirl from DC comics. The client gave me free reign over the piece, and so I tried to make it interesting, with the city behind her.

    Batgirl copyright DC Comics

CA forums don't allow for too big of files to be uploaded here, so check out a higher-res version here: http://gt-mebabyme.deviantart.com/#/d4ribzx

And to see some cropped, even higher-res detail shots, go here: http://gt-mebabyme.deviantart.com/#/d4rignb

(This is a fairly large painting)

Please let me know what you think. Critiques and comments are encouraged! Thank you for taking the time to look at my painting!

nice take on batgirl! I love the wet texture of the suit and all the detail your putting into it!
On the other hand, I asume she is upside down, so If I were you, I would really focus on the gravity man. I would work on the tightness of the rope and her hair ((it should be pointing upwards) and maybe it should also look wetter.)
keep on it, you're doing a nice job!

For a starters, she has no neck,it seems that her feet have vanished under her cape

If I could a proper red line I would, but her body anatomy is is wrong,I suggest you reference the female figure( and you'll see what I mean)

And that head of hers is not on her shoulders, instead its on her arms, also you have an arm coming out of nowhere(I think)

I am prepared to stand corrected.

    "no references used"

    !!!!??!!

Thanks guys! the reason i didn't draw her hair and the rope hanging straight down (err...up?) is because I wanted her to look like she is in movement. I suppose the motion blur of the city was not achieved well enough.

Well the cape is coming in front of her, so the feet would be covered--if they were in the composition at all. The bottom of the image crops out at about mid-shin. As for the arm situation: yeah, I struggled with that a bit. Still not entirely pleased about the positioning, but it was as best as I could get it. The neck thing you mentioned on the other hand: her boobs a fairly large, and (her being seen from an up-shot) they block visage of the neck and a small portion of her jaw.

    Thanks for the help, guys!
