Hello there! Another newbie here.
My name is Hazel, at the moment only a hobbyist. I've been working with pixel art for the past years, mostly on account of having only a mouse and MS Paint as tools. I also draw traditionally, but I have no scanner and I can rarely share my hand-drawn things. I recently got myself a graphics tablet, though, so I'm raring to try out digital art. And having gotten a lot of useful tips from lurking this forum, I decided to join hoping this will be a good environment to practice my skills. See you around? :>

I'm shirobon, obviously ^, I live in England. I'm too much of a wimp to make a thread to introduce, and I'm terrible at describing myself. I'm a begginner and trying to teach myself, so hopefully me joining this site was a good idea. Good to see lots of other people new here too!

I joined this site a while back, but never had the guts to introduce myself, let alone submit my drawings for critique. But I think it's time I learned to get over the jitters.

Hello all,

I've been studying Software Engineering at university, and I've been convinced to merge software with art. Right now my plan is to get a Digital Arts and Sciences degree in the College of Engineering. I haven't really done much art since middle school, but I'm excited to be back in touch with my creative side in a clearer way.

Finances permitting, it looks as if I will get a Wacom Intuos5 tablet in about a month, and I am already researching the best way to start getting involved. This forum holds a very high reputation and the art is inspiring. It may be a while before I start submitting work, as I do not wish to waste your time. Lurking on the forums learning from professionals seems like a great idea for now.
