@Brookiesaurus: Don't worry. I had 2 portraits and one figure drawing and still managed to get in. I'm working on getting my portfolio up for all of you to see.

Hey everyone! I just remembered this but if you didn't get in you can call up admissions and ask for a portfolio critique. I did that last year and it was very helpful. He told me everything I had to work on and which of my pieces were good. He was very polite about it. Plus if you try again next year, it'll look good because it shows how determined you are to get into their college/major.

Unfortunately I did not get in. They want me to change my major. SO I wont be attending Ringling. I'm going to apply to SCAD or SVA I think.

Yeah. I talked to them not too long ago. I was told to have a GPA of 3.2 next time (current GPA is 3.1 -_-) And to add figure drawings.

I was asked to switch majors as well unfortunately. I'll call them tomorrow and get some critique.

but I was actually looking into motion design beforehand and I was already pretty interested in it so I might consider going to Ringling anyways. If anyone has any helpful and honest information for me I would really appreciate it. I just feel like they were really trying to push the program on everyone who got turned away and while I'm sure it's also an amazing program I'm just interested in some feedback on it first. I was asked to change major too. I'm waiting for some universities in london, though (it's nearer Italy, so my parents want me to go there). If i don't get in one of those I'll surely go to Ringling. Do you know how much time do we have to give them an answer ?

I'm pretty sure we have till may. Cause you have to pay the 500 dollars to hold your spot in early may.

Yeah, May 1st is National Enrollment Day. No matter what college you choose they need to hear by you by that date. I would check if it's postmarked for some colleges but I believe Ringling must receive your 500 dollar enrollment fee and acceptance form by May 1st.

Deadlyhazard Ringling's CA deadline for the fall 2013 school year will probably be posted around September and the deadline itself is usually somewhere right in the middle of January. Unfortunately they don't offer spring semester for beginning CA's, only the fall

I got my letter today for acceptance to motion design. I wanted to know if anyone knew about housing cost and if their are any motion design students that could tell me more about the major.
