Beginner? Psh. I want to go where you go.
You've got a great sense of design in your compositions that I think is very consistent which is fantastic, i enjoy your color pallets and your style.
My only critiques are size relationship, and clarity of your objects.
Though they look sooper awesome, there's no telling how large anything actually is.
And as of clarity, some things are hard to understand.. Look cool, but I don't really know what they are![]()
I do see the birds, but they are feint.
I'd like to see process pics![]()
They are all very much so worthwhile and I give you kudos![]()

First off, I want to say: Beginner? Pshaw. This work is a lot more adventurous than most 'beginners' I've seen. You obviously have no fear of shape and texture in your work, which is something a lot of people seem to have trouble with (myself included). There's a lot of imagination at work here, and I'm eager to see what else you can do.
With that said, I'd like to second the point that it's rather difficult to tell what, or how large some of these things are. You should take these works a step further to try and add some structure, and clarify the purpose/scale of these concepts. Rein these designs in and make them make more sense, and you'll have some solid work on your hands.
Splendid job thus far.![]()
Nice work - where are you studying? And welcome as well!
What would Caravaggio do?

These look a lot like the quick concept sketches from a DVD I've seen using various custom brushes to create quick shapes. Interesting to see you trying out the technique, it's looking pretty nice so far.

That's really great for a beginner. If you are able to be so humble you will go far. I like the style, and especially the last image. I think you could make some of the round images more solid. I know you're going for a more ethereal look but I think you shouldn't be afraid to push it and make some more solid objects.
really good stuff, tho i dont massively promote use of brushes unless its for work or something important/ its VITAL. but GREAT shit!!!!
I have to agree with them, these are very well made. For a beginner, these are actually excellent renderings. You have a lot of potential as your concepts are truly impressive. However, the only thing I have noticed is that your objects/ subjects aren't that clear. Perhaps you could add more details to emphasize the appearance of such objects.
Thank you guys! i've read all of your comments..I totally agree in all of the cases...unfortunately I don't have enough time to work on concept art...here is some new stuff...hopes for improvement :p.
@JeffX99: I study at IED-Torino - transporation design, 2nd year...
great work would like to see some more
Nice, David Levy's influence and brushes?

Looks fantastic! I would say that your first few images are a bit too 'explosive' making it difficult for me to understand whats going on. Other than that your work is simply amazing! I wish that I had the same skill level as you. You're a real inspiration.
wow that was really great work of art![]()
So wonderful and it looks like animated painting. Is this really a painting? "wondering if it's really a painting lol" ahaha
thank you guys for the feedback....really helpful....some new stuff....trying to change the tehnique....
work over some perspective lines otherwise, i am extremely taunted by you exploring different levels of dimensions in your drawings.
There is no way to question the life you have, unless you question it.
Thank you FreakyBunny, unfortunatelly I didn't had to much time to work on some concept arts lately...I just did this final work quick...trying to change a bit the "air"...btw it's Aaron sims's technique...
Thanks for the crits!
Great work Liviu! I actually follow your stuff on coroflot!, my only crit is regarding the compostion of environments, I think if you give them more atmospheric perspective they will lead the eye better and will be easier to read, at the moment you use 100% black in both the foreground and background, If you save the darker tones for the foreground and make the background shadows a bit lighter i think it will read better and help show distance and depth,
cheers!
Beginner, Ha! You are way above beginner! You got some very cool stuff here. Love the last pic of the special mutant agent. There is something about the loose style, and the soft and hard edges that is very effective and gives a lot of energy. I am very much a beginner myself so i'm sorry but I don't have any helpful critiques.
Good Work!
@ I-Z: good point there...thanks for the tip...probably I still don't "have the eye" for that...
some new stuff...I've been quite busy at work in the last couple of weeks...so didn't had to much time for these....
thank you guys again!
I really like your work - and you have a lot of potential, now when you mention you are a beginner.
What I would suggest is to keep an overview of all your surfaces. A lot of the surface seem to be getting lost, and overlapping on something, that would be more suitable, being below.
You also need to train your perspective, and be easy on the brush. I think you are using a lot of unnessicary strokes and lines - that would be better off, if they weren't there.
So try keep it simple - work in a slow pace, and keep an overview of what is going on, and recheck your shapes and surfaces, so it all connects.
Your coloring and composition is something I admire - and I would definetly recheck on your progress, because it seems like you have a big deal going here, and as I previously mentioned - great potential!
first off great work.
second the thing i see with you is your atmosphere dosen't seem to be that good around objects for example around most object its just a blur of the same color then it changes suddely make color flow a little more
Thank you Bering, true and good advices, I guess I dindn't improved that much since my last post...put will anyway publish them here to keep the post updated
@yomomyha - good point! Thanks!
Welcome "beginner" (please, don't say it more in the future ;-)! I think your combination of digital paint and photos/refs as backgrounds is amazing. Go straight on!
Had a bit of time for myself so I relaxed doing these speedpaints. (Motorcycle ~1.5h alias model) Didn't thought about a real scenery but If there is time I'll continue developing this...should add a car to the "team" as well![]()
Wow extremely impressive work. Beginner? Ive got to see what you're producing in 5 years time.
How long does it take you from initial sketching to one of these finalised renderings?
had some time...I did another try...
Great stuff here. I really like the aesthetic of these images. The thing I notice is the form is a little ambiguous in some of these images, but more so in your earlier posts than in the later ones. Seems like your heading in the right direction, keep it up!
