I dunno
I dunno
The 3rd page of characters looks pretty interesting
thanks kidult! nice name
so guys I love well animated productions. A ton. That is what I want to be involved with for the rest of my life, no question. I woke up late and watched almost half of Oban Star Racers today, then I went to the gym and then I wasted a bunch of time on the internet.
But I got something done at least! I realized the still life I did for my Sheridan portfolio before had a crap composition so I redid (tried to make all the lines direct the eye to the die) it and then drew the same thing as it would look like being eaten by acid
10 days left for the animation...I think the next step should be to record the voices. Not sure how exactly to do that :/
I almost want to ask "how do I stop being lazy" but I know that's a dumb question and the answer is to just friggin' work. So I'll just shut up and do better tomorrow.
Heya! Great work so far! I'm liking the recent sketches, especially the storyboards you're doing. They look interesting. You are improving a lot and all I have to say is keep it up! I'm enjoying your sketch work, especially the Shadow and Chao sketches. Puts a big smile on my face!
P.S. Just noticed your art books and that one game. Sonic Generatiooons! I'm currently playing through that game right now and I'm having a blast! I hope you like it!
Thanks Aresa! Good luck with sonic, the final boss can be a real pain. Unlocking all the collection things from the missions is really rewarding though!
I won't be able to do the animation, I don't know how to get voice recordings into flash and my relatives are visiting...Guess I'll try to enter the bloodsport...
being way too lazy too lazy too lazy
what is this I don't even
My excuse for this insufficient amount of work is my grandma and cousin are visiting so I'm not getting much done :/
man my computer's humming really loud. It's getting annoying.

Heya,
So much to comment on but only time for a few. I like this character...a LOT! Love it's super elongation and insect head (is that a mantis?).
The pencil right below it...left bottom center has a nice look and feel.
Digging the bird studies too.
Congrats on getting some $$ for your efforts. Great idea to sell the mini portraits...and get some sweet $$ for the car.
Keep up the good work!
Oh...and find out what's causing your 'puter noise...if it's the hard-drive back it up ASAP. I learned the hard way.......

Thanks jephyr! just a random mantis cop, i was really bored.
My computer's side fan was like halfway coated in dust, it was gross. it works fine nowHere's some figure drawings a storyboard and an eagle study I HATE FEATHERS but I love them. Oh ya also a record cover commission I started working on.
Good work, you need to work on your proportions a little but the potential's definitely there.
art is never finished, only abandoned~Leonardo da Vinci
Okay here's some dumb sketches what am I even doing this is not enough. I'm not getting anything I said I'd get done done D:
I decided to start recording how I spend my time. It was sort of fun but my productivity seems to have gone down D: Not sure what to make of the results...I did use more time than I wasted, but that's mostly just because I draw way too slow. Also I forgot to photograph the thing that took the most time...I'll upload that Tuesday. Acrylics are hard! And anyway I didn't accomplish anything...
Bluh. I'll keep doing it, see what happens.
I don't usually listen to songs with so much cussing :/

Heyo once again!Liking the sketches so far. That time management chart is interesting as well. I know I need to manage my time better. The figure drawings look good, just watch out for proportions. The last man from that post's right leg looks a little too small. I see that you are doing some Preston Blair studies! Keep those up! They helped me a lot when I was learning character design and cartooning. Much luck and don't give up!
Oh, hey! Did you hear from Calarts, yet?
Oh crap!!! I sent that drawing in to Sheridan D: I really liked that one...the leg was supposed to be foreshortened but it doesn't read at all! agh wish I had seen that, I could have thickened the lines...
I'll totally keep up the Blair studies, they're really helping my construction!
Haven't heard from Calarts yet but people have gotten their letters already, so it won't be long!
gotta draw more gotta draw more gotta draw more

A friend gave me a ton of digital art books. So many!!! I could use a whole year to just absorb all that information! I think I'll take like a month and go through the famous artist course along with Blair. I have to remember to be deliberate with my books, I can't absorb too much by copying down a few pages one night. I need to figure out a good schedule...Gotta do finished pieces and start making money and work out and learn to drive and pass my AP tests too...It's troublesome, but I'm lucky I get to worry about this instead of other things.
first world problems, amirite?
Oh boy! I'm done with the second page of Preston Blairon to squash and stretch!!!!
two videos in one post..what is the world coming to?

I see you ventured upon Marcos Mateu-Mestre's "Framed Ink"
I seem to have gotten rather lazy the past couple of days...GROSS.

lol yay pokemans ^__^

I suck with digital lines. That's probably something I should be practicing.

wow, vertical, the amount of work you churn out is actually quite impressive, ha. And yet you still try and keep a journal to track how much you waste?! That's crazy dedicated.Keep up the good work!
Hey, Vertical, not totally sure what I meant by your comment on lacking construction, but I appreciate the comment and the view!
Impressive? hah! according to the numbers I waste almost as much time as I use!
lol thanks though.
So here's everything from today. I didn't have as much time for art is I would have liked and I didn't really make any progress...I must remember to apply my studies and work on my imagination drawing!

Thanks!
I should really work on doing more than sketches...
also IiIIiIIIIiiIIIiiIII'm getting really anxious to hear from Calarts and Sheridan already. D:
I had the whole day today. THE WHOLE DAY. Doing this little work is pathetic! Maybe I should stream more, it's pretty hard to be lazy when people are watching...

CalArts? Recently one of my favorite artists got accepted there.
I'm sure you have a good shot. And yeah. About a year ago, I used to do livestreams, but I felt very pressured to get everything perfect and I couldn't concentrate very well, so I gave it up. It might work for you though. I mean it works for SamC and he is a fabulous artist now.![]()
Anyway, I like the boat in your latest update and I wish I had good advice or critique to give but I'm pretty bad at that.
Oh cool, who?
and thanks a lot bro
I think this will be the last week i time myself, I'm starting to lose count and besides that I don't want to start thinking a high number means i did a good job if I didn't practice effectively. And I don't think I did.
Also this bloodsport entry must be finished. I can't even bother myself over whether I think it's good or not, if I don't finish this it I will somehow become an even bigger loser than I am already.
