    Confused about TAD.

    Hey!

I read so much about TAD at the moment so I decided to take a look what TAD exactly is.
Always heard TAD, and i knew it's some kind of school, but nothing more.

Let's just drop in my questions:

    1. There are part time classes I saw. How much time do I need for these classes. Are there any kind of classes I can apply to, even if I am still in college? Coming home around 5:00pm (in Germany). Everyday there would be like 3 or 4 hours for art stuff.
Would this be enough time to participate in a part time class?

    2. I didn't see any fee for these classes. How much do the part time classes cost normally?

    3. How long do part time classes take? Full time classes are 6 months I heard.

    4. So I can do these classes from home while watching the classes via computer and then do my assigments?
Or do I need to be there when they are LIVE? Would be hard because of the time zones I think.

    That's it so far.
Sorry. I think most of the questions are REALLY silly for you, but I really don't know anything about TAD so far.
Even if I don't apply I would finally know what people are talking about

    Greetings,
    Sil

Thought I'd jump in here and answer a few questions since I had some time from lunch.

1: (Which is actually a few questions)

The foundations A and foundations B courses are available for part time. The prices for a single class and their monthly payments should be available on the website.

Both Foundations A and Foundations B are available in Fall and Spring semesters.

3 to 4 hours a day should be plenty of time to watch and do homework for 1 or 2 classes. You can apply and attend while you are in college, no problems there. There are several students who are doing TAD full time, as well as College or even Masters courses full time. Don't ask me how.

Some classes are more intense than others in regards to homework/assignment workload. Your time and how you manage it are up to you. If you participate on a day by day basis and want feedback from your instructor during class you will need to turn in assignments before the next class begins with a note on or below the image with questions or comments you want the teacher to see. (Easily done in photoshop)

Otherwise you will have to turn in your assignments late and ask for critique from your instructor on the side since you did not turn in the assignment on time when it was asked for. Again some classes have weekly assignments that give you lots of time to try and retry them, and others give you assignments during the week and weekend.

2: I think I answered that briefly, current payment options are posted on the TAD site. The prices really aren't much different than a really really nice junior college here in the US. Or a basic university class in the US price.

3:Part time classes are the same classes that full time students are participating in. They are more like four months long. Fall 2011 Started on 8/8/2011 and ended on 12/16/2011 and spring should go from 2/6/2012 - June something. There are 2 month long breaks for the instructors to participate in the 3 week workshops.

4:Yes all classes are available on demand. In June you can go back and watch February classes. To participate live you just log in and click the class and then click the live class session to join on your computer. Thats it. All you need is a connection and email.

And Yes/or No to the second question. It depends on your choice really. If you dont want to stay up until 4am or whatever the difference is over there you shouldn't. Watch the classes on demand, turn in your homework with a note/questions to the instructor and watch the new lecture and your critique the next day. You can even fast forward to your own critique if you wanted :)

PM me if you have any more questions I have time off before class starts on the 6th. I usually just pop in here every now and then and probably wont see any response :)

    Thank you very much!

Also thanks to DestinyJade, I wrote her an e-mail and she answered a few hours later.

All my questions are "solved" now and I am thinkin about it.

But for a young boy who is still going to high school it's quite expensive.
I think I am going to take a few after i finish school, during an "social year" in germany.
Then I have enough free time and I can concentrate on it better.

    Thanks guys!

You better not be fast forwarding to your critique!!!! Other crits apply to you, and certain comments will not be said to you as they were addressed in quite a few before yours!!!

    So busted.
